Star Wars Outlaws Gameplay Takes Us Through Many Different Paths We Can Take

Star Wars

A whole lot of new gameplay for Star Wars Outlaws is here along with a lot of Star Wars lore for you all to dig right through too

If you wanted something new for Star Wars Outlaws, well, you now have a whole lot of that to take in. During the recent Ubisoft Forward, as promised, Massive Entertainment went all out and gave us teases, an overview, a lot of gameplay, then a whole lot of the same gameplay explaining all of the hidden Easter Eggs and lore that we can expect when the game launches on August 30th for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Just on a few watchings of it all, all of the Star Wars nerds out there are going to have a lot to look at and explore. Not to mention a whole lot of the same locations we have seen many times over, but they are iconic for a reason, and with it being an open-world game, some of those worlds do lend well to all of that.

At first glance, Star Wars Outlaws does look and feel a bit like an Assassin's Creed title just with the other IP slapped on top of it. We will have to sneak around locations, scope them out to find the best entry points, more often than not stealth kill enemies, all while trying not to sound alarms. Beyond that, it also looks like we will have to take up a few "bounties" as missions too. Not in the way that we need to always hunt them down, but some of these Star Wars characters are out there to give us some extra knowledge and skills too. A nice little twist on things so we do not always have to be a murder-hobo in the universe as these games usually make us out to be.

Watch the new Game Overview trailer, featuring exciting new locations you can explore, and the high-risk jobs you can take on in Star Wars Outlaws.

We are also going to have a few extra dogfights in Star Wars Outlaws that look to be optional and will also have other game effects beyond adding in some fun. Depending on who or where we let these dogfights in space go down, we can build and lose reputation with certain factions in the world. Factions that can either give us some discounts on gear in the game or actively hunt us down and make life harder than it should be in the universe. Many of them are Star Wars staples and it is still yet to be seen if we can run jobs for the Hutts right from the start of the game or not. Given the publisher, I am guessing that will all still be coming down the line and for a small extra fee. It would be the Hutt way too, I guess…

Did you find all of the fun little Star Wars lore in the mix out there or did you need to have some of it guided to you? Do you see this more than a reskinned Assassin's Creed title or will it boil down to all of that once we start playing the game? How many more of the story bits will be hidden in the world or will it mostly be the missions we have to do and everything else is just part of the "grind?" Speed on down to the comment section to discuss all of that and everything else we have to offer up out there. We hope to have more for Star Wars Outlaws soon, so please keep on coming back here to see and hear about all of that as it does come out there.
