Get those motors running and head out to the highway with the latest we have for Heading Out. Latest and best bit that Serious Sim and Saber Interactive have to offer up before the game releases on May 7th. Here we go with a look at how this narrative and open road game will actually function when we are able to get behind the wheel on the PC. We have more gameplay along with a bit of a breakdown of how Heading Out is going to handle out there once we turn the key and get on rolling down that road. Let us all dive in.
You can get a feel for the bits of gameplay we are going to have in Heading Out in the video below, but here is a quick recap of a few things. We will be driving about the world racing against some clocks in a Thema & Louise kind of story where we will need to run odd jobs along the way. All to outrun and escape the authorities, collect some cash, upgrade our vehicles, and navigate that open road. This is all about the journey and less about where we are going to end up. A journey that looks like it will have many paths to go down as we make choices along the way in the story of Heading Out. All in the end to give us a game that will have us driving around a very stylized world out there. Have a look and see how it will all flow with the following video we have.

All in all, Heading Out does look like it is going to be more of a straightforward racing game that is not on a basic track. Not a terrible thing at all, but the main grind is to drive from one place to another. It does feel like this one will be all about the story that is told along the way and less about highlighting any of the big gameplay moments. Not a terrible thing, but worth noting since this breakdown does not show off much in the way of anything groundbreaking. I know I am still excited to see what Heading Out has to offer up and cannot wait to see more. We are only a month away from the launch, so I have a feeling that we are just getting the little teasing done for now and the bigger surprises are still to come.
