A new horror title, Haunted Bloodlines, is on the way with Haunted Bloodlines diving back into the scary mansion setting of things
If you are one of those out there looking for another first-person horror title to take you deeper into a creepy mansion, then here we go with Haunted Bloodlines. This would be the next big title for the PC that Horrified Triangles and Iphigames has in the pipes that is going to do just that. All while giving us more things to escape and adding in a terrifying story to the mix of Haunted Bloodlines. All with more to come after this first announcement for the game. Let us all dive in and see a bit more about where this one will take us besides a dark and creepy mansion.
In Haunted Bloodlines, we will be taking on the role of someone who has just lost their father and inherited a huge mansion. A mansion that also seems to be ever-expanding and filled with all kinds of terrors that one would expect to be around a dark forest setting. All things we will need to run and hide from, as Haunted Bloodlines is not going to give us a way to defend ourselves in the game. So a bit of a walking simulator with a bit of a hide-and-seek aspect to it. Nothing that has not blown the minds of many out there already, so that is something to get hyped up about. Also not something you might be able to take away from the following announcement trailer. So, keep that in mind as you give the latest announcement a watch just below.
Haunted Bloodlines — Announcement
Haunted Bloodlines is a first-person survival, psychological horror game. In the dark rooms of an expanding mansion, a terrifying story unfolds. As the mansion breathes, hidden secrets lay within its walls. Survival depends on your own sanity. Always remember time can either be a friend or an enemy.
Environment:
The game challenges players' wits and composure as they navigate the mansion's shifting architecture. A mansion that breathes as if it is alive and where time feels different within its walls.
Storyline:
Inheritance full of mysteries. After the sudden death of your father, you inherit a huge mansion hidden deep in a dark forest. You start questioning your own sanity after witnessing disturbing events about your family's legacy. Is your family who you think they are? Can you face reality without losing your sanity?
Gameplay:
Escape: There’s no way to defend yourself, your only way to survive is to either hide or run. Be careful you might not want to misjudge HER presence.
At first, I was about to write off Haunted Bloodlines as just another grab at a genre of games that feel as if they have run their course. After seeing the idea behind it and some of the dark visuals, I am ready to see what else is on the way for it. I remember having the same thoughts for Outlast when that one dropped and it was one of my favorite horror titles of that time. Haunted Bloodlines seems to be trying to capture some of that again while giving us a different story in the mix. One that will have us questioning if family really is that important or if sometimes we should let that all die. Pun is slightly intended in that line there.
Does it feel as if Haunted Bloodlines is going to scratch that horror itch for you or will you be skipping on past this one? Do you think that we will learn some very dark things about the character's family or will it be us being punished for the sins of the father once more?
