The final release date for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chernobyl is set so we can hopefully enter the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. world again

It has been one rough ride for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chornobyl as it comes to a full release date on the Xbox Series X|S and PC. A few delays have been out there and then a few promised release windows from GSC Game World have come and gone. Now, we have the final release date for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 to take note of and that would be September 5^th, 2024. A little bit out there for the last prospect of Q1 2024 but it is a date that we can start to get excited for once again as it comes to this title. Get those pre-orders ready…

If you were looking for something more for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart Of Chernobyl than that, then you are going to be let down just a bit. Outside of the release date announcement, the only other thing worth noting is that the pre-orders are currently open for the various versions of the game. Both in digital and physical. Also, with each version of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 offering up the various other extras one would expect for an elevated price. It does not look like anything new has been added since all of these bundles we announced, but now you do know when it will be available for download or will be showing up on your doorstep. Now for a fun little teaser to show off this new date.

Just like everyone else, I am curious about why we have had to wait for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 for so long, outside of the obvious. This is a Ukrainian developer and they are still going through all of their issues over there as of this writing. I am fairly certain that is the bigger issue with the worry of having to live out S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in real life while developing it, but with all the planned extra content with the pre-orders, it also feels as if there could have been a few other things delaying it too. There was a delay before Russia invaded and started the conflict, so I hope that did not harm the quality of the title while the developers need to worry about their own health and safety.

Did you expect to see S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 sooner than this new date or does this feel right with everything else going on? Do you think that the conflict going on in their lands is the biggest factor in all of this or is it just compounding any of the normal issues that go on in the development process? Will this truly be the final release date or is it still possible that we will see one more delay in the mix?
