God Of War
One more realm is opening up in God Of War: Ragnarök with a new mode getting added into God Of War for some reason
A year after the last big update we had for God Of War: Ragnarök, here we go with a new little present for us all to have. We are getting a whole new bit of DLC in the game that is taking us to Valhalla, and that is not a coy little thing from Santa Monica Studio for it. We are heading into the realm again with Kratos and seeing how things could play out in the epilogue for God Of War: Ragnarök. All for free for those who own the game already on the PS4 or PS5. All on December 12th so we do not have to wait too long. Even if this is a new rogue-lite game mode…
Yes, you read that correctly. This new God Of War DLC will give us some of that style of gameplay in a game that has never truly been about any of that. All so we can have some new challenges and unlock a bit more of the gear if we had not done so already. We are getting more of the combat and it looks like there is more to the story in the mix too. It even looks like we might be tapping into some of the elements from the God Of War titles of the past. Just as we have seen in the main story and to build into this epic story that has been going on for a long time now. So, it is something more than just getting players back into a game again with a basic gameplay loop that very few titles have done very well with.

As for my thoughts on this, it is a God Of War game and update, so I will be certainly jumping into it all when it drops. Even though this is the kind of gameplay that does not get me excited at all for a video game. What does have me interested, though, is that we are seeing more of the Greek elements coming back to haunt the characters and we are getting more of the story. All of this might actually lead us to where the team is looking to go for the next God Of War title. We all know it has to be coming and I would not be surprised if we saw some of those hints show up during all of this. We will know for certain next week when the DLC lands, so that is an amazing thing too. Not sure why it had to be rogue-lite.
Did you think we were going to be seeing more of God Of War before the end of the year or did you expect us to have to wait until the next big announcement? Do you think they will be able to get this gameplay mode down well or will it feel off as many others do? Will we see more than just a conclusion to the Norse story here and will we be heading to Egypt or Asia next so we can kill all of their gods too? Venture down to the comment section to discuss all of that and more. We are going to keep a solid eye on God Of War: Ragnarök as we do with the whole IP in general. So, you know we will have all of those updates. Please keep checking back to see and hear about all of those as we uncover them for the world.
