Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden Will Have Us Feel The Weight Of Consequences

Banishers

New footage for Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden is out there to help us all understand the choices our Banishers will have to make

The work for Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden is still marching forward as we get closer to the new release date that was given to us all. No, DON’T NOD did not need to delay the game again before you worry, but we are talking about the February 13th, 2024, release date that was set down on the last delay. One that made sure that Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden was going to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC during a time when fewer other big titles were doing the same. Even if that seems to be shifting once again. Nonetheless, here we go with another look at the game and just how some of our choices in the game will lead to one of the various endings in the game.

Before now, we all knew that our Banishers would be able to put the souls they find to rest or send them off to some form of eternal torment. It just seemed as if that was the job the duo we get to play as were always set to do. Now, in this new behind-the-scenes style of footage, we get to see the bigger reason why this is all going down. As it seems, this is a morality style of mechanics but instead of saving our protagonist's soul, we are choosing if we are sticking with our cause or forsaking the path of the Banishers to resurrect our dead wife. A solid little twist we get with the gameplay mechanic here that will be fun to explore as we have five different endings based on all of those choices.

Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden — The Weight Of Consequences

Explore the game through the eyes of the English voices of the duo: Russ Bain and Amaka Okafor, accompanied by the Head of Narration of the game, Stéphane Beauverger. Discover Antea Duarte and Red Mac Raith, two experienced ghost hunters. In this new video, you will discover the importance of choices and their impact on the mystical world of Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden. Immerse yourself in the lives of the people of New Eden to uncover their terrible secrets and exorcise this world overrun by supernatural forces.

Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden will be released on February 13, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

It is also fun to see that the voice actors we have for Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden seem to want to go down the different paths of the characters they played in the game. It is not unheard of, but when we will most likely be presented with the same kind of choices and outcomes as we see in the above video, that has to be a little taxing to go through when reading the script and having to play the opposite of what you are feeling. Although, it would have been interesting to see if Banishers would have mixed in random extra scenes to make the story feel a bit different no matter which choice you went with. Like a random bit of dialog with an animation as the horrible husband vanishes where he either curses the living still or even apologizes. All are triggered randomly to further make us feel like the choices are hitting harder for us and not just the characters.

Did you expect to see this kind of morality gameplay feature for our Banishers or did you think it was going to function like a few other games that have this style of choice? How different do you think the endings will be and will three of them be more than just the same ending but with different characters living? Would it be interesting to have some of these scenes have a random bit with things like "I'm sorry" that would change our view of the story or should it always be on our protagonist's side of things? Head to the comments to discuss all of this and everything else we have to share for this title and many others. We are keeping a close eye on Banishers: Ghosts Of New Eden and will drop much more for it all as soon as we get it. Please keep on checking back for all of that and everything else we have to offer up.
