The launch trailer for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is here to get us ready for Spider-Man to land out there this week
The week is finally here and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is launching its attack on the PS5 on October 20th. A date that many, myself included, have been waiting for so we can see just how Insomniac Games is pushing the IP and story forward. Even if they will be taking a break from Spider-Man soon after we get this one under our belts. That is for a different update, though, and here we are going to dive into see what is launching out there in a few days. Here we go with the launch trailer for the game and to see how some of the other villains will look in this title as we already know how Venom and a few others will be already.
Those looking to go into Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 spoiler-free, might want to take a step away from this trailer. Not that it offers up a whole lot on what to expect in the story or anything. It does give us our first real good look at some villains like Sandman and the Lizard though. As long as you have been able to dodge all of the social media updates they have been dropping to hype the game up, that is. However, the bigger showing is how Spider-Man will be going through all of the hardships of the symbiote and Venom in the mix more. This is what we all knew from when the game was teased during the last one and when it was first fully announced. Have a look and get ready for Friday to swing on in now.

Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, return for an exciting new adventure in the critically acclaimed Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 franchise for the PS5 console. Nine months after the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, we find Miles still enlisting Peter’s help, but when the mysterious symbiote appears, Peter and Miles’ relationships are put to the test. Peter begins to change as he gains symbiote powers, and Miles, Mary Jane, Harry, and the rest of the friend group must help Peter while also facing the impending threats from a cast of new villains like Kraven, Lizard, Sandman, and Venom!
Weirdly enough, I completely lost track that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 was on the way, and am glad to have had this new reminder. In fact, I lost so much track of it all with the horror of the month that I was only reminded when the charge for the collector's edition finally hit my account. Not the greatest of marketing but at the same time, I do not think I will be going in spoiled on anything. Something that is generally a hard task to complete working in the gaming industry as we do. I know I plan on fully enjoying what Spider-Man has to offer now and kind of wish other video games and media would be able to take the same approach moving forward. Then again, the masses are not always as up on things and marketing can be needed. I cannot believe I just wrote that…
