Slender
A new upgrade for Slender: The Arrival is almost here to help celebrate the anniversary of this Slender Man title
We are coming up on that 10th anniversary for Slender: The Arrival and that means, at least for this one, we are getting a massive upgrade to the title that has been out there this whole time. A massive upgrade that will have Blue Isle Studios giving us a version of the game on the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S natively. Along with the upgrades made for Slender: The Arrival coming to the PC too. All of which just in time for Halloween this year and to add more of that missing horror into our lives once again. Get ready to see all of this on October 18th. If you are so daring enough to give it all one more go out there.
This new upgrade for Slender: The Arrival will be out there for all to pre-order soon, but the details we do have are nice for those who are wondering why they should be heading into the game again after all of this time. Like the fact that it has all been redone using Unreal Engine 5 for the visuals and other elements in the game too. Rather like another massive horror IP out there that has dropped this kind of an upgrade without being a full remake or remaster. All so we can get more Slender Man in our lives and more terror in our hearts. Along with a free copy of Valley if you want to pre-order the game now and just wait the next month to see how this all goes down.
Slender: The Arrival — 10th Anniversary Upgrade
It has been a month since veteran independent video game developer Blue Isle Studios first announced that Slender: The Arrival will be given a long-awaited 10th Anniversary Upgrade. We now have a date to unleash the bone-chilling adventure, starting October 18 be whisked back to a dark and familiar world completely reimagined. Every shadow, every material, and every hair-raising encounter with the mysterious Slender Man will be rendered in stunning detail only possible with Unreal Engine 5. This revisualized version of Slender: The Arrival is now available for pre-order.
That’s not all, a brand new chapter has been announced. Those of you willing to brave the darkness will find a new story where Charlie Matheson’s father experiences his worst nightmare. This free addition to the game offers a sneak preview of what’s to come.
This marks the first time Slender: The Arrival will appear natively on current generation consoles with the opportunity to pre-order today on Xbox Series X|S, followed by PlayStation 5 on September 19. As a pre-order bonus, Blue Isle Studios is giving out a free copy of Valley with all pre-orders.
Additionally, the new update will support the following languages at launch: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, and Portuguese. This has been one of the most requested features from fans all around the world.
It is definitely going to be interesting to see how Slender: The Arrival is going to feel and look with all of the new hardware and things not just being upscaled for it. The teaser here does not show off much in ways of how these upgrades will truly look in gameplay, but the shadows and fog do look like they will bring that extra terror. That is what this is all about and Slender Man is going to have some strong competition out there in the new horror realms, so it should be top-notch in the end. That, or just a way to get us all to pay for a game once more that we have played just with better visuals. Just like some of those other horror titles that have recently done this same thing.
Will you be heading out to get more info on Slender Man this Halloween or will you leave these memories in your head from ten years ago? Do you think these upgrades warrant a full, new title or should they have tried to tell us all a different and larger story with a new game? Will you have the time and mental space to have this extra fear in your head here or will it get lost in the shuffle of the season out there? Head down to the comment section to discuss all of this and everything else you might have. We will share anything else we get for Slender: The Arrival, so please keep on coming back here for all of those updates and everything else out there.
