Dead By Daylight
The new update for Dead By Daylight is here and it brings that famed actor into the horrors of Dead By Daylight now
The teasing and trailers are mostly over for the upcoming survivor for Dead By Daylight. This one being the legend Nicolas Cage that has been used so much to further promote Behaviour's game out there. Not that it needed much promotion since it has been on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC for so long already. But, it is always nice to have one more little push for this DLC that you can now jump in and play around with right now. July 5th is when they mentioned we would be able to get to dive into this public test for the legend in Dead By Daylight. So, here we go…
I am sure that if you are a true fan of the actor, you have already jumped into Dead By Daylight and aimed to give the new survivor a run out there. Those that have to wait until later to give him a go, though, can have a little taste of what is to come in the new trailer here. It is a cinematic one, so do not think we are getting gameplay. It is all to get us hyped up and not much more. Thankfully, it also comes along with some new details on just what the character will be able to bring into the matches to help all of the team survive the night in Dead By Daylight. That or show off how the killer will be able to take everyone else down with a little more ease depending on the player's abilities in the game.
Here we are going to get three new character Perks to play with in Dead By Daylight. All of them are based on what a good actor should be able to bring into the craft through their own talent and how that should translate into a horror film. They get to know their surroundings a bit better with their keen senses. They get to anticipate the scene partner's next move. All so in the end, they can enact the Plot Twist that we all know is normally on the way at this point. The gameplay details on how these will work in Dead By Daylight are a bit sketchy, but that is the overview of what Nic Cage will have to offer up to us in player experience. You can see more of it all just a little lower down, though.
Dead By Daylight — Nicolas Cage Cinematic
The wait is over. Starting today, gaming fans and movie enthusiasts alike can personify the iconic actor Nicolas Cage in the Public Test Build, available only on Steam, as a destined Survivor fighting for his life in Dead By Daylight. This marks the first time that a public figure joins the game, playing a fictionalized version of himself.
A Thespian in the Entity’s Cage
After countless awards and over one hundred movies shot across the globe, Nicolas Cage had seen it all and done it all – or so he thought. While on set filming the role of a lifetime, his performance summoned The Entity, a malevolent being of incomprehensible power. The actor soon found himself cast in otherworldly Fog, forced to survive a host of terrifying Killers deadlier than even the most scathing film critic.
A Performance to Die for
Fans have watched him – now they can become him, enjoying three brand-new character Perks that open the door for engaging new gameplay:
- With Dramaturgy, players will allow their instincts to take over during moments of heightened intensity. They might not be able to predict the outcome, but that's what makes it so thrilling, isn’t it?
- Every actor needs a Scene Partner. When using this Perk, staring at the Killer will grant players a deeper insight into their process, allowing them to better anticipate their next move.
- Finally – a Plot Twist in the third act can really breathe new life into film and Trial alike. Players will use their second-to-none acting ability to get deeper into character than ever before, making a bold decision that’s as risky as it is rewarding.
A Legend Amongst Legends
