The Last Of Us Will Offer Up Some New Terror During Halloween Horror Nights

Halloween

A new haunt based around The Last Of Us will be at Halloween Horror Nights at the Universal Parks during this Halloween season

I do enjoy it when speculation and thoughts of mine come to fruition, as it has now been confirmed that The Last Of Us will have an experience out at the Halloween Horror Nights in the various Universal Parks out there. Those that have been listening along on the Aggrocast could have caught that tossed out there back when we visited the Super Nintendo World as a little speculation, but speculation no more. This Halloween we will be off to an abandoned Pittsburgh to see if we are going to be as lucky as Joel and Ellie as the cordyceps and what has been placed on the Earth will try to stop us all along the way.

There is not much more in the way of details, and we do not expect there to be more than the following teaser for the experience given that Halloween Horror Nights thrives on the unknown. It is also not clear if it will all be based around the video game version of the IP or will dabble in on the TV show version of things. Hells, it sounds like we will have the infected, hunters, and clickers in the mix but no word on if we will have to go quietly through the areas to see if we can get past certain parts. I knew this IP would be landing big this Halloween and now we have one more reason to head out to the parks to experience it all.

The Last Of Us Announcement Video – Halloween Horror Nights 2023

Enter the world of Naughty Dog’s video game in real life, as you fight to survive and navigate your way through an abandoned Pittsburgh with Joel and Ellie.

You and your squad will encounter the haunting and overgrown world of Naughty Dog’s video game in a brand-new, terrifying way, as you make your way through an abandoned Pittsburgh. Join Joel and Ellie, and don’t make a sound if you want to survive Clickers, Hunters, and more. No matter what, keep finding something to fight for.

This is not the first time Halloween Horror Nights has dabbled into the video game space, and I doubt it will be the last. There was a time when we saw Silent Hill get a solid addition to the list and Resident Evil is always a safe bet in the mix. We could, technically, add Killer Klowns From Outer Space in since we are getting the new video game and the IP was out there in the raw form at last year's Halloween Horror Nights. That is a bit of a stretch, but it is always nice to see the gaming industry get the real-world treatment to put us all through the paces of the horror we get mainly in the digital form.

Did you also assume we were going to be seeing a lot of The Last Of Us during Halloween this year or was it something different you thought we would see? Will you be making the trip out to Universal now to go and experience all of this or will there need to be one more thing added in for it? Will this be more based around the video game or will we see a mix of the show in there too? Head down to the comment section and discuss it all as we get plans set up to go. There should be more for Halloween Horror Nights and, maybe, some other video games added into the mix of things out there. Please keep checking back in for all of those updates and more.
