Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion Is Ready To Launch Us All Out There Again

Final Fantasy

The launch for Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion is almost here and we have a little more to this Final Fantasy VII prequel

Just to add a bit more to the mad rush of video games that are about to launch out there, Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion is ready to give us that one last look at it before we hunker down and get ready to play this prequel. I am sure that Square Enix had some huge plans for all of this and the holiday season, so we might need to pay close attention. Especially when we see that this Final Fantasy VII prequel story and a bit of a remake could be leading into the next massive part of the other remake. So many remakes and so much story to have, but it looks like this one could be much more than just a stab to the nostalgia buttons and might have something else hidden within. At least, based on the launch trailer we have to look at now.

Even though getting a launch trailer this far out is not a weird thing anymore, for Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion it does show off a few things that feel like they hint at something else. Up to now, it has been a little murky if this will actually play into the other Remake in any significant way. Obviously, there are the story bits but it was always listed as its own thing. Doubled down by the fact that it is also launching on platforms that have not seen the other remake yet. Here, though, we get to see some of those Final Fantasy VII Remake assets at work and more of the combat shifting over from the original game to the more modern action we have grown used to. Given that they have stated that this is a little more than a remaster and not a full remake for Crisis Core, it is starting to feel like it is shaping up to be. Then again, they could just be using the work already done and just slotting it in for the remastered version of this game. Thankfully, December 13th is almost here and we will know for certain how it all plays out in the end.

Do you think that this is going to be an official addition to the Final Fantasy VII Remake or will it just be the story bits that get us up to speed for the next chapter to release? Is it odd to see some of those other assets used here or do you agree that it feels like it could be building into something bigger? When all is said and done, will this end with a true tease for the next big chapter or will it stay as its own thing for now? Give us all of that feedback down in the comments and then feel free to discuss it all as you so wish to do. When we have more for Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII - Reunion, know it will be up on the site for everyone to see.
