Guns Are Not Always The Best Option In Alien Isolation
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of September 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
The How Will You Survive video series continues for Alien Isolation showing off why guns don't solve everything in the game If you've been out of the loop then you may have missed that Sega and Creative Assembly have a nice little video series slowly coming out for Alien Isolation. The idea behind it all is how to survive in the world that the game takes place in. It is also a nice look at how not to play Alien Isolation as the actions taken by the player in these videos seem to always lead to the titular alien hunting them down and doing very bad things to them. This latest trailer is no exemption from the concept. Read More...

Resident Evil Revelations 2 Gets Its First Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 11th of September 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
We now have a trailer for Resident Evil Revelations 2 from Capcom and it looks to show flashes of gameplay and cut scenes It didn't take to long for Capcom to give us what we all really wanted for Resident Evil Revelations 2, an actual trailer. Yesterday it was announced that Resident Evil Revelations 2 was going to be an episodic title to lead up to a physical release on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC. There were also a few screen shots for the game in the mix but now we get to see them all in working order. We also get to see the evils of the Apple Watch that is strapped to poor Claire's arm… I'll let you get to the meat and potatoes here before we dig in and talk about what we just saw for Resident Evil Revelations 2. We've Boosted Some New Assassin's Creed Unity Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
Ubisoft has released a new gameplay video for Assassin's Creed Unity showing off the Heist Co-op mode Before when I made comments on Assassin's Creed Unity looking more Thief-like by the day, I was just goofing around. With the latest gameplay video for Assassin's Creed Unity it looks like I am more and more on par; the most recent video of course covering the new Heist Co-op play mode for the game. This makes it so you no longer need to be assassin's but are rewarded on how much better a thief you are than a killer. The bigger difference is that in Assassin's Creed Unity it looks like Ubisoft nailed the gameplay mechanics that were lacking in other's titles… Unlike the game that will no longer be mentioned, Assassin's Creed Unity's heist mode will pit players to traverse areas to attempt to steal some item from said area. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of September 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
New details and screen shots for Resident Evil Revelations 2 have been released from Capcom and it looks like another episodic adventure So Resident Evil Revelations 2 was announced and a few bits of information about the game were spilled through various means but it looks like the horse's mouth, Capcom, has given us more than expected for this upcoming title. The biggest of all being that Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be continuing the episodic structure that we have all come to see in our zombie games. The only big difference here is that each new episode should only be about a week apart from each other. Read More...

The Delicious Sounds Of The Evil Within
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 10th of September 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
A new Bethesda Underground video has been released showing off just how they got some of those gruesome sound effects for The Evil Within We already know that The Evil Within is going to have some amazing voice talents but there is so much more to the audio for a game like this than just famous voice overs. Flesh being torn, brains being stabbed, bones being crushed, and limbs being ripped also make the fear factor of a survival horror title. All kinds of gross and nasty things need to be recorded in the mix to make you really cringe at the scenes that you are watching or playing through. Read More...

No Escape Now That Alien Isolation Has Gone Gold
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 9th of September 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
Alien Isolation has gone gold and with that announcement Sega and Creative Assembly have given us a new trailer for the game It's always a good day when we can say that a game has gone gold and there are no more delays, which happens to be just the case for Alien Isolation. So far the alpha and beta builds of the game have handled amazingly as well as brought the horror back to the franchise. This is one of the few titles I am still looking forward to for the rest of this year so the golden announcement will make this October 7th such an amazing day. To go along with the announcement of Alien Isolation getting the little gold sticker, it looks like we are also going to have a bit of fun leading up to the release of the game with a new "trailer series" titled How Will You Survive? by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of September 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
A release date and pre-order bonus for Mortal Kombat X has been announced and it is looking downright amazing Here we have it, the Mortal Kombat X release date. We now know when we should be getting to get back into the gut ripping action and it is now set for April 14th 2015. At least in the NA region for now but if history serves the EU and other regions should only need to wait a few days until they can have Scorpion or Goro dismembering them limb from limb. Or controlling said characters on their console of choice. Wait a second… Goro isn't an announced character for Mortal Kombat X is what I am sure you were thinking if you didn't look up and see the image or embedded tweet below. Read More...

Let's Go Live With Destiny In The Latest Trailer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of September 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
A new live action trailer for Destiny has been released showing off how the game should feel when playing with friends I made the comment earlier that people have been losing their excitement for Destiny as the game's launch date looms even closer. I also claimed that something needed to be done to get the excitement back even after the Planet View site cropped up. Well it would seem that my complaints and wishes were answered as we have a new live action trailer for Destiny now and it does nothing but show off why we should be excited for the game. Even though it is mainly focused on the multiplayer aspect of the game's world. Read More...

Time To Get Our Assassin On With Styx: Master Of Shadows
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 4th of September 2014 - 01:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Styx: Master Of Shadows shows off the assassin gameplay as well as hints to a release date Up until now Styx: Master Of Shadows has been shown off as a stealth and Thief-like title but now it looks like there is a bit of Assassin's Creed brought into the mix with the latest gameplay trailer. This is a little bit of a shock to me as up until now it has been shown that Styx cannot handle multiple enemies and needs to stick to tricks and sneak attacks. I'll take it none the less as this looks to add yet another manner of gameplay to Styx: Master Of Shadows for all those out there who don't have the patience to take things slow and stealthy. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of September 2014 - 05:00 PM ]
All of the basics of Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer are explained in the most recent trailer released from Sledgehammer and Activision Last month Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer was shown off to the public during the Gamescom event. Everyone had nothing but amazing things to say about what was shown even though it was only the tip of the iceberg, so to say. Obviously be who we all are we want to see more of the gameplay, modes, customization, and kills coming in the next Call Of Duty. The next bit of wait time is over now as we have a nice long look at the multiplayer just a bit lower down the page. Read More...
