Resident Evil 2 Is Remade And Hitting Us This Coming January
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of June 2018 - 03:00 PM ]
Resident Evil The remake of Resident Evil 2 has something to look at and it comes with an official release date for Resident Evil 2 as well It has been so long since we first heard word that Resident Evil 2 was getting remade and we have seen so much for the franchise since then. If memory serves, it was back in 2015 that we first heard from Capcom that they were looking to remake one of their strongest games in the franchise and fans have been left wanting since. That is if you forget that they put out Resident Evil 7 and a whole bunch of DLC and other smaller titles in the process. Some just HD upgrades and such, but still something in the franchise as we wait for RE2 to be remade and brought to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Read More...

System Shockâs Remake Now Saddled With A Q1 2020 Release
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of March 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
System Shock In a recent interview about System Shock’s Remake, it was revealed that we might not see this newer version of System Shock until Q1 of 2020 Just over a month ago we were all told that System Shock’s Remake was going to be placed on a hiatus of an undetermined amount of time. The team needed to refocus, they needed to get back to what they promised, and Nightdive Studios needed to make the final leap from Unity to Unreal as they have done already. There was no mention of when this remake would eventually come, but it all happened. Now we jump to GDC here recently and the fine people over at PC Gamer were able to find out the current projection for System Shock’s Remake to finally come and now we 'possibly' look for it on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Q1 of 2020. Final Fantasy VII Remake & Kingdom Hearts III Unlikely in 2017
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Thursday, 27th of April 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy VII It looks like Final Fantasy VII Remake & Kingdom Hearts III might miss their projected 2017 release. Sorry Final Fantasy VII fans There are some rumors that have existed for ages. One of which is so old I don’t remember where I read it was that the third installment of Kingdom Hearts would be released in 2013. The other has been around almost as long as I have been alive being that a remake of Final Fantasy VII would be coming. In the past few years these two things have actually been confirmed. Video Games A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here's a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site Thus concludes another week covering all those video games. It's been another doozy of a week but now we get to sit back and relax and play all of those games we've been talking about again. Seems like I've said that before, but none the less here we are again. Sitting and wait for those video games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Mass Effect: Andromeda to come out here in the next week or two. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 20th of February 2017 - 03:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy The wait is over for Final Fantasy 7 Remake & Kingdom Hearts 3 screenshots but the wait for Final Fantasy 7 Remake still eludes all of us for 2017 The wait for Final Fantasy VII Remake still lingers on as it still looks like we won't be seeing it this year, but that is only in a final form as we have a few new screenshots for the game here. Not only that but a little other title that Square Enix is working on in the way of Kingdom Hearts III. You know, the next two most anticipated titles from the developers now that Final Fantasy XV has released and is in DLC and update mode only at this point. Read More...

More Signs Are Hinting That Final Fantasy VII Remake's First Episode Will Release In 2017
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 6th of January 2017 - 01:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy VII Remake Another listing for Final Fantasy VII Remake indicates that we actually may see the first episode of Final Fantasy VII Remake sometime this year Here we go with just a bit more pointing to the fact that we may be seeing Final Fantasy VII Remake at some point this year. This isn't the first time something has popped up like this of course but to the dismay of Square Enix it looks like retailers just can't stop letting things slip out a bit earlier than they should. Like I said, this one also shows that we could be seeing the first episode of Final Fantasy VII Remake this year as there are now options to pre-order it all right now. At least if we take what just popped up on the Australian EB Games website. Read More...

Final Fantasy VII Remake's Combat Looks The Same But Is Different
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 5th of October 2016 - 01:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy New gameplay for Final Fantasy VII Remake has surfaced and it looks like Final Fantasy VII's combat system is getting a little bit of an overhaul It has been quite some time since we've had some updates on Final Fantasy VII Remake and how it is coming along. I know Square Enix gave us a nice trailer and all of that about a year ago and there have been peppered bit here and there but nothing solid for a while. They are focusing on Final Fantasy XV right now and the various other titles in the franchise so it makes a little bit of sense but that doesn't change our need and want for new content to look and/or hear about the game. Specifically a release date for it but I'm guessing that will all be in due time. Read More...

This Week In Video Games 12/7/15 â 12/11/15
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of December 2015 - 07:06 PM ]
Video Games A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games I think we have finally played catch up on all of the news that came out for our favorite video games this week. There was a lot out of PSX as well as just in general. Some of the biggest being the announcement of Final Fantasy VII Remake being a multi-part title. There was also a lot of DLC talked about for Dying Light and Assassin's Creed Syndicate. That is also if we discount all of the other items that came out during the week in video games. Read More...

Here's Why Final Fantasy VII Remake Will Be 'Episodic'
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 11th of December 2015 - 05:00 PM ]
Final Fantasy With the announcement of Final Fantasy VII Remake being multi-part Final Fantasy fans have asked for a reason and now we have one straight from the source Earlier in the week we had our first solid look at more than a tease for Final Fantasy VII Remake. Sadly this was also accompanied by a press release from Square Enix stating that Final Fantasy VII Remake would also be a multi-part experience on the PS4. As that was announced many Final Fantasy fans who have been begging for Final Fantasy VII Remake went on to express their gamer rage about it being an 'episodic' game and not the full one. That is their term not mine as I always remember Final Fantasy VII requiring disc swaps originally and I see this as pretty much the same thing as the developers work on this and Final Fantasy XV at the same time. Even More Final Fantasy VII Remake Information Out Of PSX 2015
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of December 2015 - 01:01 PM ]
Final Fantasy VII More than just a trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake has been released out of PSX 2015 and it includes how Final Fantasy VII is being remade and what we can all expect Since Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced back in June and made many fans out there happy little gamers we have been waiting for more and we finally got that over the weekend at the PlayStation Experience in San Francisco. During the huge keynote event a new trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake was showcased by Square Enix and it looks like they are taking great care to give what has been begged for by many. It is still no Final Fantasy VI Remake in my opinion but it was still one of the greats in the series. Read More...

Resident Evil 2 Is Officially Getting A Remake
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 12th of August 2015 - 01:00 PM ]
It has been made official as Resident Evil 2 is getting the remake treatment so even more gamers out there can experience the horror of Resident Evil 2 It looks like fans and the internet win again as Resident Evil 2 is getting a remake treatment and it won't be a fan project as we've seen spreading all over the internet. In fact this news comes right from the horse's mouth as Capcom has green-lit Resident Evil 2 Remake and Yoshiaki Hirabayashi will again be at the helm. That would be the producer behind Resident Evil HD Remaster that hit the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC not too long ago and I am pretty sure he has his hands in Resident Evil 0 Remaster as well. We Have You Covered With The Live Stream Below One down for today and now we are on to the second press event for E3 day one with Square Enix and what they have to show. I'm kind of at a loss given the world premiere videos that were shown already from the Square Enix catalog. This Week In Video Games 10/6/14 â 10/10/14
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 10th of October 2014 - 07:00 PM ]
A Lot Has Gone On This Week. Here's A Recap Of What We Covered In Video Games That was another fun week in catching all the news for the video games industry was it not? I know I have a good time each we trying to cover everything that we can on the site. Even though we are in the mix of major title releases we still were able to cover more than just that. The Evil Within has been kind of dominating the video game news as of late but everything will be coming full circle for it next week and things will die down a bit. Pun intended if you can find one there. Read More...

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain's Realism 'Fools' New Studio
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 22nd of July 2014 - 03:00 PM ]
A screenshot from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain looked real enough to be used for real news This news report has since been updated but it feels more like a PR spin than truly admitting that they screwed up and used an image from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain to shock people into believing their propaganda or at least listen to what they were saying. "News" outlet RT and show SophieCo were recently covering a story on children soldiers and were speaking to a former child soldier when the camera panned by and showed a scene from the next Kojima game. Like I said, it has since been updated to state that they knew it was from a video game but I have a feeling that is just to save face as something like this could ruin what the discussion was actually about. E3 2014 Impressions: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of June 2014 - 05:20 PM ]
While at E3 I got to see Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in a more intimate setting than just the trailer. Here's my take on it All of the teases and short shows of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain can all be put aside now as we were given a new and nice look at the game and features that have yet to be announced or shown in a public form. It also kind of puts the whole demo thing for Ground Zeroes to the side as with what was shown here at E3 was considerably more and with a demo you should get all of the game's mechanics and features. Yes the core running, stealth, and shooting are all the same but here is what we didn't get to play before but will once The Phantom Pain launches. Read More...
