Arkham Asylum 2 To Be 'Darker' In Tone
by Brian Goodman [ Wednesday, 21st of April 2010 - 12:11 PM ]
Thanks to for reporting on a Chicago Comic-Con panel that long time Batman voice Kevin Conroy was speaking at. Conroy has reportedly said that Batman: Arkham Asylum 2 will be "really really dark" and that legendary, iconic villain, Two Face, will be making an appearance. I say awesome. I, like everyone else, loved everything about the first Batman: Arkham Asylum and I feel it speaks really well that an unknown newcomer like Rocksteady Games can rock our worlds with the first good Batman game ever (and a rare piece of quality licensed work). Its nice to see them not only expand deeper into the Batman universe, but also do so with the finely polished third person gameplay the market had not seen in a long while. Lets just hope as much effort goes into adding depth to the gameplay formula that made the first one so great. Read More...

Could We Be MMOing It In Rapture Soon?
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 19th of April 2010 - 11:22 AM ]
This is still just a rumor and based of sources from Destructoid. I'm not one to post a bunch of rumors. I hate when they are good ones and then they end up being false or a joke started to get views. I really hate it. But this is a rumor that I think most of the fans of 2K Games would go ballistic over if it was made to be a joke or for publicity. It's also one that I am sure that any fan of BioShock would love to be true. If you could not deduce by now, the rumor is BioShock: The MMO. Read More...

The Saw movie franchise has been known to truck out a new film every Halloween, and has so for the seventh year in a row. That is when Saw VII comes out this year that is. But now it looks like it is going to go down that path with the video game version of the psychological killer storyline. Yes, it has been announced that Saw 2 is in the works. In fact, you can look below to see some of the new screens for the Saw II being done by Konami and Zombie Studios again. Oh, and due out this Autumn as well as the new film. Read More...

Review: BioShock 2
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 5th of March 2010 - 03:49 PM ]
The time has finally come for us all to head back into Rapture and see what has transpired since the fall of Andrew Ryan and get some questions answered. Is the city still standing up well? Have the splicers died off? What happened to those pesky ADAM filled Little Sisters? All kinds of questions that we were left to wonder when escaping from the underwater city in the first BioShock. The Story: Picking up almost ten years after Jack escaped from Rapture, BioShock 2 starts you out in a similar WTF moment forcing the start of the game. You just kind of wake up as a Big Daddy and have only clouded memories on what the hell is going on. Read More...

Big Daddy Got Wood!
by Binh Nguyen [ Friday, 26th of February 2010 - 05:34 PM ]
Ever been so obsessed with a game or character that you needed to draw them or have it everywhere? Myself, I have anime, Super Sentai stuff on my PC, PSP Go, toys (or in Mike's case, dolls), etc. Well this Japanese man takes things to a whole new level as he takes the time to carve out a nearly life size wooden statue of Big Daddy from BioShock. In this nearly ten minute video, you will see how much detail this Japanese Jason took to create Big Daddy. I could not imagine how long it probably took him to finish the project, but needless to say it is worth a watch. Read More...

Today was the first day of the X10 conference in San Fransisco. X10 is an invite only event at the Terra Station in San Fransisco, where Microsoft gets to show off all things XBox 360. From game releases and announcements to add-ons and hardware. One of the long awaited announcements today was Peter Molyneux's Fable 3 presentation. Got BioShock 2 Question? We Might Have Answers.
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of February 2010 - 01:59 PM ]
So on Friday (2/5/10) the people who are bringing us BioShock 2 and who helped in porting BioShock over to the PS3, held a nice round of "answer some submitted BioShock 2 questions." A nice game that I was able to sit in on and have some questions answered. For you, our readers, as well as for my personal needs. We all know I can be needy now and then. Here is my understanding of what the guys were trying to get across while answering all of our needy questions. Read More...

Get All Cuddly With Big Daddy
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 8th of February 2010 - 09:47 AM ]
We've seen the BioShock 2 Launch Trailer or seen the ending that teased the sequel oh so long ago. In these trailers you may have spotted something that the Little Sister was carrying around. A nice little plush doll, made from random junk from Rapture, fashioned to look just like her Big Daddy savior. If you haven't seen it, then watch one of those videos and you will understand what I am talking about. Getting back on track, NECA has decided to add that plush doll from the game to their list of licensed BioShock 2 merchandise. Read More...

Brave Arms: The Facebook FPS
by Kevin [ Friday, 5th of February 2010 - 05:57 PM ]
3G Studios just announced that they would be crafting a first person "social shooter" for Facebook, arguably the most popular social networking site on the net. It seemed like this was in the making, the idea of a Facebook as a platform for more robust content (i.e. something a little more in-depth than say Farmville or Mafia Wars). As more and more companies seek to establish a presence on sites like Facebook, like EA staking their claim for instance by picking up Playfish, this seemed like a natural progression. So what does 3G Studios have in mind? Read More...

BioShock 2 Says We Will Be Reborn
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 3rd of February 2010 - 11:48 AM ]
It almost seems like it has been ages since the first BioShock came out and rocked the gaming world and Survival Horror and FPS genres. With deep intriguing story and creepy as fuck visuals and audio. All wrapping up into what seemed like a nice ending to it all. Well at least if you didn't see the continuation video that did more than just tease BioShock 2. Then after that, we had to wait almost two more years to get the sequel we fans were all hoping for. Which, here we sit a mere week away from that day. Read More...

BioShock 2 Shows Us How To Use The Scout Plasmid
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 27th of January 2010 - 05:32 PM ]
During your play through of BioShock, didn't you always wish there was a way to Scout out what was going on in the next room? Wouldn't have been nice to be able to do that and also set up or actually attack enemies in the next room so they were weaker before kicking down the door for the attack? I know I would have saved a few deaths if I was able to do that. Actually screaming out "I wish I could [insert what I said above]" when I died. Not really, but I can picture it in my head. CES 2010: BioShock 2 Multiplayer
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 13th of January 2010 - 07:08 PM ]
At this year's CES in Las Vegas, NV there was loads to show off in terms of hardware. At least as gaming consoles and gaming computers go. But what about some of the software that was shown for all of us gamers? Like a real hands on with the multiplayer of BioShock 2. Not just spiffy videos. Well this was one of the games that was being showcased for all who attended and found there way out to the IGN and Sprint trucks hidden in front of the convention. Let me start off, as I usually do when it comes to multiplayer, not a big fan of it. In fact with this title, I was loathing the fact it was having multiplayer added as it generally ruins the single player game. Read More...
