PS3 Gets A Shocking!
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 19th of August 2008 - 04:51 PM ]
BioShock Dated And Given Extras So those of you who have heard the hype about Bioshock but were too lazy to get it on the PC or XBox, or only have a PS3, you might have known that it was getting a PS3 release. Well, today it was dated for the gaming world. That's right, the 21st of October. Not bad timing, except that Dead Space is coming out around the same time. But I doubt that will hurt them any. Set Phasers To MMO
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 28th of July 2008 - 04:59 PM ]
Star Trek Online So I frequent the Cryptic Studios stuff now and again, forums and booths at conventions. Hell, on Saturday, I even went to their VIP party for City of Heroes players and Devs. Please don't ask how it was. But this was something that kind of caught me off guard. Brett Favre To Be On Cover of Madden NFL '09
by Michael Camacho [ Friday, 25th of April 2008 - 07:18 AM ]
Brett Favre announced at the end of his recent appearance on Letterman that he will be on the cover of Madden NFL '09, the franchise's 20th installment. Brett Favre is a 3 time MVP, a 7 time Pro Bowl selection and 2007's Sports Illustrated Sportsman Of The Year. Favre also lays claim to many NFL records, to include Career Passing Touchdowns (with 442) and Career Passing Yards (with 61,655). This is one of the NFL's greatest honors, but also one of the most cursed for active players as almost all the prior cover athletes have been injured or poor performances during the season they were on the cover. Michael Vick, Donovan McNabb, and Daunte Culpepper are among the few that had season ending injuries while featured on the cover of Madden. Read More...

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 27th of March 2008 - 11:57 AM ]
Wii Head Tracking powers new 3D game Not the most creative of titles, but, well...whatever. A long while back, before we had the Narticle section, I posted a bunch of things about the Wii and PS-Eye head tracking systems that people are working on. They were just basic tracking things that would move just some dots or basic targets on the screen depending on where your head is. The Wii had a set of glasses for this. They looked very clunky and a lot like the old VR goggles of yore. Read More...
