Game On As The Riddler Is Here To Terrorize In Batman: The Enemy Within
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 7th of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Batman The first episode of Batman: The Enemy Within has been released just in time to show us how dark this new season for Batman will be here With Batman: The Enemy Within's first episode dropping this week, I guess it is a good time to have a look at the latest trailer for the episode and see just what we could be in store for the whole ride. If anything, just what Telltale Games may have for us in the first installment of this continuation of the altered universe cannon we've had so far. Seeing as the first season's choices for Batman will be carried over and they did a few things that the comics have yet to do, I'm going to just assume this is all non-cannon for the official comic line. Friday The 13th: The Game Is Getting A Physical Release Now
by Jana Lass [ Monday, 7th of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Friday The 13th It looks like Friday The 13th: The Game will now be getting a physical release after great digital sales and this will all be on the next Friday The 13th If you've been hoping for a physical version of Friday The 13th: The Game to come into your home here soon, then the wait is almost over. It looks like Gun Media and IllFonic are going to be hooking up those fans who held out, somehow, on not getting it digitally back in May and still want to have the gaming experience. At least on the PS4 and Xbox One version here as those are the platforms this new version of Friday The 13th will be coming out on. Read More...

See How Hunt: Showdown Rose From The Ashes Of Another Burnt Title
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Hunt The first developer diary for Hunt: Showdown has been released and goes into just how Hunt: Showdown came into existence from the fires of another title Hopefully by now you are aware that Hunt: Showdown wasn't always the game that we all were treated to out at E3 this year. In fact, it made its first showing during E3 of 2014 under a different name and gameplay style than we've also seen here recently. Due to all of the insanity going on over at Crytek during all of the down time until we heard about Hunt: Showdown moving on from Hunt: Horrors Of The Gilded Age and trying to move forward. This is something that has completely been done based on what we all got to see, but maybe you'd like to see just how and why things went the way they did. Read More...

Observer Gets Even More Cyberpunk As Rutger Hauer Hacks Those Nightmares
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 4th of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Observer Another new trailer for Observer has dropped and this one makes it know that Observer's story & gameplay will be led by a Cyberpunk legend Cyberpunk seems to be making a huge resurgence lately and Observer looks to be one of the titles that is helping all of this along. At least if it is all done well and Bloober Team delivers again on their horror skills. That and the upcoming Blade Runner 2049 doesn't sour a lot of people. Seeing as Observer is now launching on August 15th for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One it seems more weight will be placed there now among a few other titles out there. Read More...

Cosplay Culture Was Out In Force At Animazement 2017
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Friday, 4th of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Animazement There was a lot going on at Animazement but I will say that Animazement was the best place for cosplaying Ever since we were young many of us dreamed of growing up to become our favorite video game or anime character. I had no clue that so many years later I’d be going to conventions like Animazement dressed as a vault dweller and seeing so many others donning their amazing costumes. People draw inspiration from a variety of sources. Comics, Anime, and Video Games just to name a few. Read More...

Life Is Strange: Before The Storm Is Showing Just How The Riff For Chloe & David Started
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Life Is Strange A new Life Is Strange: Before The Storm trailer is out now and it shows just how some of Life Is Strange's characters started to hate each other more If you've played Life Is Strange already then you know well about the strained relationship between Chloe and her "new step-douche" David. There is no denying the level of animosity between the two characters and in the new "expansion" that Deck Nine Games is bringing to us all on August 31st we are going to see just a bit more on how all of that grew to where we saw it last. Did any of us think that it all was going to start out well in Life Is Strange: Before The Storm or just be the usual "new man" in mom's life that step-parents usually go through. Read More...

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Takes Us To Roswell & All That Comes With That
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 3rd of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Wolfenstein A lot of new gameplay for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus has been released and we get to see Wolfenstein's take on Roswell and all the aliens there If there is one thing, we have not been in a drought of gameplay for Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. It almost seems like we can't go a full week without some new bit of gameplay for the game getting placed out to excite and titillate. It's almost like Machine Games doesn't want there to be any surprises when Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus launches on October 27th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Then again, this could just be faith in the project that Bethesda has so that we can get almost an hour more of gameplay and still have so much yet to be seen and experienced in the full game. Check Out The Gaming That Was Out At Animazement 2017
by Dakota B. Johnson [ Thursday, 3rd of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Gaming During Animazement 2017 there was a lot of gaming going on and I was out there to check out all the fun anime and gaming things Anime has long held an influence in the world of video games. During gaming's rise to prominence within mainstream culture during the 70s and 80s which was helped greatly by a little known Japanese company that is still around today, Nintendo is a global giant in video games and has been for decades. While gaming was becoming increasingly popular so has anime with shows like Mobile Suit Gundam and Speed Racers. Manga, which much anime is derived from, had been around for much longer, but its expansion into becoming animated only helped it to grow and evolve. Read More...

Review — Minecraft: Story Mode — Hero In Residence
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Minecraft We sit down and review Minecraft: Story Mode — Hero In Residence. This is the first episode of Telltale's second take on Mojang's famed Minecraft franchise. Here's our review on how they did It's time to kick off yet another season for Minecraft: Story Mode as the first episode has dropped on the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices with it coming soon to the Switch. All of this is something you should have known by now, but none the less Telltale Games is back at it trying to give us a great story set in the universe that Mojang has crafted that only has stories if we so define them. At least that has always been my takeaway for Minecraft before now and enjoy seeing it through the lens of another. Read More...

Let’s Have A Carnage A Trois With The Latest Agents Of Mayhem Squad
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
Agents Of Mayhem The latest squad for Agents Of Mayhem has been revealed and they come with all the lack of tact that Agents Of Mayhem should be bringing us all Since Agents Of Mayhem is launching so soon, August 15th still, it is time we rounded out all of those squads and characters that we will get to play here in a few weeks. We all want to know that characters a bit more, even if it isn't through gameplay, just to see just whom we might be favoring when we jump into Volition's new title. Maybe not though as it does seem like Deep Silver has been a little light on the actual gameplay for Agents Of Mayhem's characters and more about the personalities. Read More...

The Walking Dead Is Getting A Fourth & Final Season Next Year
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 2nd of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
The Walking Dead During SDCC it was revealed that The Walking Dead from Telltale will be getting one more season to wrap up The Walking Dead story we've been waiting for There was a lot of good news to come out of SDCC this year but what we have here is a mix of good and bad as The Walking Dead: The Final Season has been announced to be in the works and heading to us sometime in 2018. Obviously we can see the good news here as we will get to see Clementine back in action and dig into some of the best storytelling that Telltale Games can offer, but it also means that all of this will be coming to an end here. I'm going to go on a limb and guess this is due to the fact that The Walking Dead is over saturating the market with all of the other titles they have coming out there, but it could just be that the team wants to move on to other things or maybe other aspects of the universe. Night Trap's 25th Anniversary Version Now Has A Release Date
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of August 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Night Trap The release date for Night Trap, the 25th anniversary version, has been set and is bringing some extra Night Trap features never before played It's seems that the re-release of Night Trap only missed the initial release window by a short time, but now we know that if you are looking for the game on the PS4 and PC you can look toward August 15th now to get your hands on some of that sweat "retro" gaming action. It may not be retro in the way you all normally think, Screaming Villains are bringing it all back from the '90s for us and it falls into the category there. Even if Night Trap was all FMV and non-sprite based. Read More...

ECHO Has A Release Date For Us All To Get Ready For
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of August 2017 - 07:00 PM ]
ECHO The release date for ECHO has been set and now we can sit back and wait for ECHO to hit the PS4 and PC in September It has been some time since we heard or saw anything new for ECHO but it looked rather impressive last year when the first bit of gameplay dropped out there. This isn't to be mistaken for the most recent VR title to come out; this one is being done by the team over at Ultra Ultra and is not a VR thing as of yet. This ECHO title is all based around us taking control of a character to try and survive a sentient Palace that learns our moves and actions to use them all against us. It's been a bit since last we heard about it so it is okay if you don't fully remember. Read More...

Meet Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War's Shelob & The Agonizer With New Trailers
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 1st of August 2017 - 05:00 PM ]
Shadow Of War Two new trailers for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War are here fresh from SDCC and give us a feel for two more of Shadow Of War's characters This year's SDCC may be over, but that doesn't stop all of the videos and updates we had out there from flowing out and here we go with two more for Middle-Earth: Shadow Of War. Yes, two more and two more characters that will be coming to life from Monolith Productions here to make the game's story richer and in some cases a little more lighthearted. That seems like a weird thing to write here given the heaviness of Shadow Of War, but it looks like we are not just getting some dark and depressing tale here on October 10th. Read More...

Have A Tease Of The Psychosis We'll Experience In Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 31st of July 2017 - 09:00 PM ]
Hellblade We now have a small tease at one of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice's features coming with the game that will focus on Hellblade's psychosis & how it was used in game By now we all know that Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is going to have some deep-rooted ideas and looks at "insanity" and psychosis in the game. The titular character suffers from some of it and Ninja Theory has been pretty open about talking to many scholars and those who suffer from similar ailments to make sure they are able to represent the whole thing properly. Hopefully you've been following along with all of the developer updates for Hellblade and this isn't new news for you. Read More...
