The Gameplay Is Ever-Shifting Within Tandem: A Tale Of Shadows

Tandem

Tandem: A Tale Of Shadows has some new gameplay to show off how we will need to work in Tandem to survive the nightmares

Let us inject some more dark and creepy gameplay from Tandem: A Tale Of Shadows into your life here now that E3 is mostly over with here. It was a bit more to show off how the characters would interact in the game that kind of was left in the shadows. Something that works well for the theme and design that Monochrome Paris is going for here, but not the best to get us all amped up for Tandem to hit the PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC when it does finally come. Well, not amped up until you get to see more on how this doll and teddy bear work together to make their way through the levels that have been crafted for them. A nice little sleeper puzzle hit if things keep flowing out well for it all. Something we will be helping out with here today.

As it should be easy to assume here for Tandem, we will need to control both characters in such a way as the name alludes to. One will have a top-down view to move about while the other a side-scrolling style to help out with. Actions one takes will change the environment based on the new perception and lighting of the world, so we will need to plan a bit ahead when making some choices. As you will be able to see in the latest video for Tandem, it can lead to an early death or a massive success over giant spiders. I am sure that most out there will not want to have to endure that too many times. I know I am hoping that it is a one-time little ordeal and we will see all manner of other creatures and designs to drive us all mad with. Time will only tell here.

Tandem: A Tale Of Shadows — Character Gameplay

Tandem: A Tale Of Shadows releases in 2021 on PC, Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The game is developed by Monochrome and published by Hatinh Interactive.

Emma and Fenton must use their distinct perspectives to solve puzzles and evade terror across five kaleidoscopic dimensions inspired by Jules Vernes, Conan Doyle, and Tim Burton. Cleverly utilizing Emma’s top-down view in tandem with Fenton’s horizontal side-scroller view yields solutions that will earn the pair new clues regarding Thomas’ disappearance and the hallucinatory hell that threatens their sanity.

While Emma may seem coddled at a glance, she’s fiercely independent. Despite her young age, the girl can maintain composure when faced with uncertainty and knows how to learn from her mistakes. Fenton may appear indolent when measured against Emma’s determination but acts as a great complement to the indomitable woman, comforting her when hope fades away.

Were you expecting anything different from a title as Tandem here or is it all about as expected? Do you think there is going to be some form of time-dilation to get things done here or will it all stay real-time as we have to deal with these obstacles? What other horrors do you think we will see here or will they stick to the normal and classic things with a bit of a twist, as we have seen already? Let us all know down in the comments what is on your mind after this, and then feel free to discuss it all. We will share more for Tandem: A Tale Of Shadows as we get it all. Just be sure to keep checking back in for all of that and everything else that could be coming our way here.
