The Surge
One more gameplay trailer for The Surge 2 is here to give us more of the city and other aspects to expect in The Surge 2 when it launches next month
There looks to be even more to slice and dice in The Surge 2, as we have yet another trailer to take in and take a look around Jericho City before September 24th hits us. It definitely looks like Deck 13 is packing the game with everything they can and building off the last title. It even looks like The Surge 2 will have even more verticality than before based on the latest we have here today. At least, as memory serves, the last one was more grounded with only a few vertical areas to explore and move through. It has been a while so I might be a bit off.
The one thing this new video does show off well is the new things we can slice off and kill within The Surge 2. That and how bloody it can all look when in a perfect flow of everything. Slicing off one part of an enemy to be able to add it on to your gear. All so you can do it again as we grew to love in The Surge in the first place. You do not have to take just my word on it. You can see everything I am talking about just below. Get ready for some great eye candy to get you ready for that impending launch date.
The Surge 2 — Overcome. Upgrade. Survive.
Slice your way through Jericho City in The Surge 2’s new gameplay trailer
The Surge 2, the action-RPG sequel from Deck 13 and Focus Home Interactive, brings uncompromising, limb-chopping, dynamic combat back to players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on September 24. In today’s trailer, witness new weapons, environments, enemies, colossal bosses, and moves that improve the formula. There are ever-more challenges to overcome, equipment to loot and upgrade, and threats to survive.
The Surge’s iconic fast-paced combat and unique limb targeting and looting mechanisms return for a dynamic combat experience that is as rewarding as it is unforgiving. Experience brand new, bigger, more lively environments - Jericho City is a massive location, packed with secret passages, buildings, factions, friends, foes, and terrifying bosses. Abandoned, half-finished mega-structures sit alongside ostensibly serene parks that have become nanomachine hunting grounds. As you progress through this nightmare, earn TechScrap and equipment pieces by tearing off enemy limbs to equip them to your exo-rig.
As the nanomachine infestation eats Jericho City, new, horrific amalgamations of man and machine roam the streets as gangs, the government, and cultists war for control over the most valuable areas. Suit up and try to survive this chaos, and triumph, when The Surge 2 releases on September 24.
How are you feeling about The Surge 2 based on this new footage we have? Do you think that we will have all the slicing and dicing we will ever want or will we need more DLC after the core game to sate our needs? Do you see more to the verticality of the game here than before or am I just not remembering everything correctly? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. As more for The Surge 2 rolls out, we will add it to the site for you. Just be sure to keep checking back in for that and everything else in the video game arena.
