Green Hell
Green Hell will be leaving Early Access in September, as Green Hell’s Story is finally ready for us all to enjoy
Just as we were all promised, Green Hell will be leaving its Early Access phase and heading over into a full release this summer. It will be near the tail end of the summer, but that does not change the fact that Creepy Jar has put a lot of working into the game to bring it to where it is and then bring a full version to the rest of the gaming world. If you have been holding out to get the full version of Green Hell on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC then you can now look at September 5th to be the day you get it. It is also the same day that the Story Mode update releases for it all. That would be my bigger reason for holding out.
While the Story Mode for Green Hell is a big thing, there are many other updates coming to bring the version of the game up to 1.0. Things like new map areas to further explore and survive, perma-death options to mix in, more plants and animals to be on the lookout for, and then a slew of new settings to further tweak how you want to play Green Hell too. You can have a small taste of the story just below and see a few more of the new settings that you will have to play around with when September 5th rolls around. Until then, have fun with the game in its current state or watch others have fun while you wait.
Green Hell — Story Mode Teaser
Independent Polish developer, Creepy Jar is excited to announce that their massively successful Amazon-based survival game, Green Hell will be launching into 1.0 on Sept 5, 2019. Gaining legions of fans during its Steam Early Access phase, the most anticipated feature of the 1.0 release, Story Mode, will see players test more than just their survival skills as they embark on a desperate mission to save their lost love, Mia.
Story Mode and 1.0 Update Additions
- Story Mode! — How did you end up in the Amazon? What happened to your love, Mia? How can you escape? How can you survive? Seeking answers to these questions will take you to the brink of sanity as you rediscover well-known areas and discover new areas for the first time.
- New Map Areas — The lush rainforest of Green Hell gets even bigger with new Wetlands to explore.
- Perma-Death Difficulty — Gear up for the most ruthless challenge yet. There’s no coming back from death.
- New Graphics Options — Optimize your experience with new FOV, Vsync, antialiasing, texture quality, and shadow distance options.
- New Plants And Animals — Introducing the psychosis-inducing Psychotria Viridis, the Banisterposis Caapi, and the lethally poisonous Dart Frog.
- Decay Timer — Many items in the game will now start to wither and decay. Players will have to be vigilant learning to use their items before they expire.
- Custom Game Settings — Have a problem with snakes? Maybe spiders? Introducing new options to turn tribes, predators, spiders, snakes, and the sanity meter on or off! Hate managing macroelements? Green Hell is also adding a depletion speed slider to adjust how quickly you need to replenish yourself.
Were you holding out for the Story Mode to come to Green Hell or will it be the new settings that will drive you in to play? Have you been playing along with the game since it hit Early Access and helped shape things to where they are now? How will you be using the new plants and animals in the game and will they be more for the story mode when all is said and done? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss.
