Sekiro
A new bit of story is here for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice with little else to help guide us along the path Sekiro is going to take
Not much has been given up in terms of story for Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice thus far and most have been focusing on how hard the gameplay will most likely be in the game. This is another title from FromSoftware so that is something to expect, but there needs to be some kind of story or reason we are going about killing everything and trying to survive. Other than that is what we just have to do in Sekiro. Maybe that is why I have never been able to get into the other games the developer has put out there as I have been missing out on that. Maybe not though.
No matter the case, we have a new little preview of what the story could hold in Sekiro. I do mean little as it more or less just gives us the basics of Japanese history and lore with maybe a little bit of revenge mixed in for reasons. Just as most of these heroes in these games have going on. Not that this is always a bad thing, but it does not feel like there is much room to wiggle outside of the normal tropes when you go this route. Maybe Activision wanted them to make a new game but still keep it in an area that can be easy to follow with enough reason for the gameplay. That is how Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is shaping up here with this little tease for me. Maybe the grander story will fix all of that and we will know it on March 22nd.
