A Plague Tale
New screenshots for A Plague Tale: Innocence are here and they give us a look at how some clashes have left more bodies lying around in A Plague Tale
After a nice long wait, we finally have more to see for A Plague Tale: Innocence to get our hype back up for this interesting sounding title. In fact, last I saw anything for the game it was in a small room at E3 last year where Asobo Studio was showing off the very basics of the game and how we would be traversing a horror-scape filled with plague rats that could only be kept at bay by the light we held or set. It was one of the more interesting titles I saw then and I have been keeping an eye out for anything else to show off for A Plague Tale: Innocence. Now we are back with some new screenshots to give us a feel for how development may be progressing for the game.
In the following screenshots we have a look at a new area in A Plague Tale: Innocence where the two orphans have made it to an area not only filled with the rats but also the corpses left over from some clashes between the armies of France and England. This is most likely going to bring even more rats to the area but I would guess fewer of the other enemies that we will need to avoid in the game. If you remember back to the gameplay from before, there are soldiers or guards on the lookout for the two kids and they need avoid them as well as the rats. Or use the rats to their advantage to kill said guards and make it safe to progress.
A Plague Tale: Innocence, the upcoming adventure game developed by Asobo Studio for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, unleashes hordes of rats in a new series of images! Join orphan siblings Amicia and young Hugo as they struggle through the heart of a brutal and ruthless world, in which millions of rats ravage the Kingdom of France - already beset by war and the Black Death.
1349. Rats swarm in uninterrupted waves throughout the territory of France. In the disease-devastated villages, countryside and fields of battle, this uncontrollable and voracious mass advances relentlessly. The creatures devour everything in their path, men and animals alike, to satisfy the endless hunger of their ever-increasing numbers.
In today's images, witness just one of many desecrated sites that saw clashes between the armies of France and England. In the midst of hundreds of piled corpses, hordes of rats teem over the bodies and leave little hope for the survivors. In the midst of this chaos, Amicia and Hugo have just one chance of escaping with their lives. The faint glow of the flame Amicia holds appears to be the only thing that repels A Plague Tale: Innocence’s swarming menace.
There is still no release date for A Plague Tale: Innocence outside of 2019, but we can look for it to come to the PS4, Xbox One, and PC. With any hope, we will get some new gameplay to experience out at E3 this year or sooner. Here is hoping that Focus Home Interactive opts to go for the sooner option so we do not need to wait too long here.
Do you have any new thoughts for A Plague Tale: Innocence after these new screenshots? Do you like the fact that it looks like it will all not just take place at night or do you think this is the closest to daylight we will get in the game? Do you think in areas like we see here that we will not have many other threats besides the rats or will we be harassed with everything everywhere? Let us have those thoughts down in the comments and then discuss. When we have more to share for A Plague Tale: Innocence, we will add it to the site here. Just keep coming back to see and experience it all.
