Stage Tour Will Be Rocking Us All Out At SDCC With A Few New Surprises

Stage Tour

Those looking to experience what Stage Tour has to offer can do so at SDCC, along with a look at the upcoming Stage Tour comic

Get ready to rock out at SDCC this year, with Stage Tour taking a stage to show off the game and various other bits of fun for it all. That is the quick pitch for those following along with what RedOctane Games is headlining out there. For those looking for more, it looks as if Stage Tour is now available for pre-order for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. Although with how little we have seen of the game, that could be a tough sale for some gamers. That is where things will kick in here for SDCC 2026, as the latest build of the game will be out there for us all to experience, along with the new instruments that we are going to be playing. Those who head over to Booth #2834 will have a chance to do that, along with the bonus surprise of seeing what Dark Horse Comics is doing for the game.

Yes, that does mean that there will be a limited comic run series for Stage Tour when the game launches, and it will be something that is included in the hardware bundle for those who are going with that level of pre-order. So, if you cannot make it out for SDCC, or supplies run out, there will be an option to snag it down the line. That said, why would you not want to hop on stage and give the game a go while out there, as we have nine more songs in the lineup for Stage Tour that we will be able to play out there. That will give us all sixteen songs that we can experience with Castle Rat, Paramore, and Slipknot getting added to the growing list. A list that should be filled out so much more by the time we are ready to see that closed beta access. Not to mention when the game launches later in 2026, as long as all of this goes down well. If all of that tickles your fancy, here are all of the finer details, along with a little tease of the comic that we all will be getting.

Stage Tour — Booth

Headlining the announcement is an exclusive partnership with Dark Horse Comics, bringing the world of Stage Tour to comics for the first time through a special one-shot issue debuting at San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Expanding the lore of the Stage Tour universe, the comic offers fans a new way to experience the bandmates that help shape the world behind the game, featuring cover art by Kim Hu (Rollerdrome, Killtopia: Nano Jams), script by Zoe Tunnell (Blade Maidens, Godzilla: Valentine’s Day Special), art by Liana Kangas (Know Your Station, TRVE KVLT), colors by Diana Sousa (Critical Role: Vox Machina Origins, Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures), and lettering by Comicraft’s Tyler Smith (Star Wars: Hyperspace Stories, Conan the Barbarian).

The limited-edition comic will be available exclusively to SDCC attendees while supplies last and will also be included as a free bonus collectible with future Stage Tour hardware bundle pre-orders.

RedOctane Games also confirmed today that Stage Tour is confirmed for release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Steam wishlists are available now, with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S wishlists and pre-orders to follow.

Experience Stage Tour at SDCC

Attendees visiting San Diego Comic-Con will have the opportunity to experience Stage Tour for themselves, heading over to Booth #2834 to be one of the first to go hands-on with the latest closed alpha build, playable on custom-built arcade cabinets developed in partnership with Paradox Arcades.

The playable demo will feature a selection of previously announced songs, while showcasing the latest gameplay refinements shaped by feedback from IGN Live attendees and the growing community of closed alpha testers.

In addition to the game, attendees will be among the first to experience the official Kramer Guitar Controller for Stage Tour. Pre-production demo units of the officially licensed controller-featuring the classic design of Kramer guitars-will be available throughout the event, giving fans an exclusive early look at the hardware ahead of its planned release.

Fans can also pick up the exclusive Stage Tour comic at both the Stage Tour booth (#2834) and the Dark Horse Comics booth (#2615) while supplies last.

Are you going to try and give Stage Tour a play during SDCC this year, or will you be skipping it for some reason? Do you think that the comic is going to build into the campaign of the game, or will it be one of the various ways it could play out if we make the same choices? We are going to make sure we check out Stage Tour while we are out there at SDCC, as well as update you with all of the information for the game as we get it.
