BrokenLore: LOW Offers Us A Little Bit Of The Terrifying Gameplay

BrokenLore

See how the tale of BrokenLore will be playing out with new gameplay that we have for the upcoming BrokenLore: LOW

The story is carrying on forward with BrokenLore: LOW and now we have a bit of the gameplay to look at for the game. All of these might be something that you might have missed out on if you skipped the last outing that Serafini Productions gave us on the PC. Those who enjoy the fog of other video games out there, though, will want to take full notice of BrokenLore: LOW and see the gameplay it is going to have to offer. Something that should be the right levels of creepy and the right levels of truly terrifying once all is said and done for the development of this one. That all said, let us have a look at what is being offered up out there right now.

As you take your eyes down to the gameplay video we have to offer for BrokenLore: LOW, let us break a few things down. As it all looks, this feels like a very Silent Hill inspired title while we will be wandering about a foggy village out there to uncover all kinds of mysteries and supernatural things. Not to mention those horrors that always stalk these things. Those familiar with BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW will have a good grasp on this as the story dives deeper into what we had in that title. Even if all of this does look like it is more of a walking simulation in a horror setting with not much else to tag onto it. Although, it does look as if we will be able to hold weapons, so we should be able to fend off some of those horrors if we are lucky. That or maybe just end it all before things get too dark out there…

BrokenLore: LOW — Gameplay

BrokenLore: LOW takes players on a journey filled with tension, mystery, and the supernatural, where every corner of the mist hides forgotten truths and unfathomable horrors. Set in a remote Japanese village, Kirisame Mura (Village of the Mist), this first-person horror game delves into the dark prelude of the story narrated in UNFOLLOW.

Game Objectives:

  • Reveal the Roots of Deep-Seated Hatred
  • Explore the circular, claustrophobic pathway structure of Kirisame Mura
  • Introduce the Game Loop Structure, symbolizing the unstoppable cycle of tragic events

Story

Naomi Montgomery arrives at Kirisame Mura for a professional opportunity that promises to launch her music career but instead finds herself facing sinister presences and the cursed secrets of the village. Her story is a journey through time and memory, laying the groundwork for the events narrated in BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW.

The aura of mystery surrounding the village intensifies with the gradual revelation of a dark legend that haunts the town. The legend tells that, at the center of the village, there was an ancient temple, now disappeared, the scene of a tragedy that has cursed all its inhabitants.

Gameplay Mechanics:

  • Sinister manifestations suggest ancient forces keeping watch over the village.
  • Survival requires players to hide from enemies instead of confronting them directly.
  • Discovering diaries and letters provides historical and emotional context.
  • Lost stories are unveiled as players navigate through the village's winding paths.

Village Themes

Kirisame Mura is designed to be an enigma in itself, a labyrinth with no exit that symbolizes the cycle of wrong decisions and broken destinies of the protagonist. The game’s structure emphasizes this aspect with an environment that subtly repeats and changes, challenging players to find a way to break the cycle as they delve into the story. Themes of envy, ambition, and failure will be explored.

Were you expecting something different for a BrokenLore title or is this what will pull you into it all as of now? Will we get to do more than just walk and run in the game or will that be what all of this boils down to no matter what? Do you like the fog and mist-filled locations in your games or should we try to think of something truly unique to keep us all on our toes? Head on down to the comment section to discuss all of that and everything else we have out there. We should have more to share for BrokenLore: LOW as more is offered up. Please keep on creeping by here to see and hear about all of it as it comes out. I am sure that we will all be glad to see this one fully pans out.
