The Horrors Are Out & Chasing Us More With Announcement Of REANIMAL

REANIMAL

The announcement for REANIMAL is out there after getting some slight teases of what REANIMAL could have been

After a solid tease from Tarsier Studios a little while ago, they finally revealed to us all during Gamescom they are working on a title called REANIMAL. A title that many have been trying to figure out given their pedigree of titles and what THQ Nordic was going to help fund them to make. Well, here we are and we have REANIMAL to look at and get ready for more horrors to hit the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC when the game is ready. As long as you were one of those who found true horror in many of the past titles that they have put out there. Not that their past games were not great, just do not expect things to be all too different based on what was teased and what we are getting here now.

As it looks, REANIMAL is another co-op horror adventure where we get to play as a brother and sister team who have been placed in some terrible circumstances. They have set out to save some missing friends and during this adventure, they have run into a nightmare induced world where all manner of creatures are out to help them end with all of their living. All of which making REANIMAL feel a lot like the Little Nightmares titles more than many were speculating out there. Again, not a terrible thing, but maybe we all should have tempered some of those expectations before seeing the following trailer. Even if the original teaser did give us all a different feeling to what they could be working on.

REANIMAL — Announcement

What Is REANIMAL?

The original creators of Little Nightmares & Little Nightmares II have returned to take you on a more terrifying journey than ever before. In this co-op horror adventure game, you play as a brother & sister who go through hell to rescue their missing friends. Exploring by boat and on land, you must use your wits to survive, work together to escape the hellish island, and the dark secret that haunts you.

Horror With Hope

In this dark, unsettling tale, the emphasis is on tension and thick atmosphere, as you join the two orphans on a desperate search for hope and redemption in the direst of circumstances.

Across A Dark And Twisted World

Traverse an intriguing but terrifying world, where the main path is only one part of the fragmented story. Discover all sorts of mysterious locations on your perilous journey, each with its own story to tell.

A Dread-Filled Adventure

Tarsier Studios has returned, bringing their unique visual style to bear on a whole host of new twisted monsters and broken, yet resilient, child characters. Fragments of the children’s troubled past have been used as inspiration for their character design, and for the monsters that now torment them.

Share The Scare

Nobody should be forced to go through hell alone! Fully playable in single player and local & online co-op, REANIMAL has a shared, directed camera, designed to maximize claustrophobia and tension.

I will say that REANIMAL does look like it is going to be another fun run of games here, but why not try something new with the talent the studio has and everything? The original teaser even made it feel like they might have been working on a different kind of horror with animals, but one that would give us a different perspective to play with. Maybe even take us into more of a survival horror thing instead. The proof will be in the pudding for REANIMAL, and now that we have things settled, it will be easier to get behind the game. I was just hoping for something to break the mold again and maybe see that original spark that the first Little Nightmares gave the world instead of a slight variation on that formula again.

Were you expecting something than REANIMAL here or does this feel perfectly fine for you out there? Will we get something truly different once they can show off full gameplay or should we just expect the visuals to be haunting, audio to be creepy, and the gameplay to be what we have had before? Does that even matter and you just want to have another good co-op horror game to play with friends again? Creep on down to the comment section to discuss all of that and everything else that is on the way out there. We will have more for REANIMAL as we get it, so please keep on checking back for those updates and the many more still to come down the line.
