Let us take a look at the controller first.
The Gametrak Freedom controller is not like your other motion controller where you just point and shoot. When I held the controller for the first time, it felt better than any other motion controller that I have used in the past. For the 360, The Gametrak Freedom controller has 2 sensor bars. One on each side of the T.V. to give the controller more accuracy of both an X and Y axis to give you more stable control over the game. Does it work better than the other motion controller out there? Well yeah it does because I don’t get the feeling I got the shakes after drinking like 3 Monster Energy Drinks.
As I mentioned earlier that The Gametrak Freedom controller will be bundled with a party game called Squeeballs Party that will be available for the Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS. So the premise of the game is that you have 12 adorable, small, not sure if they are but yet cuddly Squeeballs that is made on a remote island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. Before they are sold to children, the Squeeball must be fully tested first… to the point of destruction. This is where you come in and blow up, cook, slice, bat, bowl, and shoot the Squeeball in over 150 mini-games. Sounds fun? Well I sure hope so because it is a riot.
After trying the Gametrak Freedom controller for myself and the game at the same time, I will say that it will be a lot of fun not only for our age group but those really young and those pass their prime. Look out for the bundle sometime this fall as it will be priced at $69.99 for the Xbox 360, which is not bad if you look at it.
Just do me a favor, don’t kill the Squeeballs too horrifically. They are cute, in a way.
