New South Park: The Stick Of Truth Screenshots To Prove It's Not Dead
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of August 2013 - 03:43 PM ]
It was joked about back during SDCC, but do people really think that South Park: The Stick Of Truth is going to be dead in the water? I actually hear people still murmurs this, I'm not kidding, even though we have been shown concrete proof that it is still well in development and scheduled for release. I understand that missing the original launch date and losing the original publisher has a bit to do with this, but seriously?!? How could you be so dense? Read More...

SDCC 2013: South Park: The Stick Of Truth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 26th of July 2013 - 11:08 PM ]
Didn't make it to San Diego Comic Con or the South Park: The Stick Of Truth panel? Well we got you covered. Or at least an amazing individual on the internet has you covered in the video aspect and I have you covered in the details as I was there taking notes for you. It should be no surprise that there isn't much in the way of new information since E3, but a few choice questions from fans and during the panel revealed a few tidbits. One of the best things I have heard in a while has to be that there are no plans to force DLC down our throats even though there were some major cuts from the 850+ page script of the game. Both Trey and Matt expressed a hatred for the term and that it was suggested when they had to start culling down the content. Read More...

E3 2013 Impression: South Park: The Stick Of Truth
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 17th of June 2013 - 11:35 PM ]
With the fall of the mighty THQ and the purchasing of South Park: The Stick Of Truth by Ubisoft, all of us have been questioning what may or may not change in the final product. Especially since Ubisoft has it's hearts with the French and the Canadians and the minds behind South Park love to tear them apart. With questions like that and a huge interest in the game, I took a seat and watched what Obsidian had to show us at E3 after the great publisher swap. Granted, some of these might not be additions or substitutions due to the swap, but it was all shown during the demo I was graced with. Read More...

South Park: The Stick Of Truth Is Still Blasting Ass With The Best Of Them
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 6th of June 2013 - 03:24 PM ]
I am so glad to see that South Park: The Stick Of Truth is still moving forward and striving given the loss of the original publisher and completely missing the launch date. While Ubisoft did purchase the game during the great THQ fire sale, I was a bit worried that this was going to fall into development Tartarus or be so altered it wouldn't be what we were led to expect. From the looks of the below screen shots and the bit of new information we have here it sounds like it is going to be just what fans of the show should expect. What is it that I say we should expect? PAX East Interview: WildStar
by Matt Waitt [ Wednesday, 27th of March 2013 - 08:59 PM ]
Last week I had the pleasure of snagging WildStar's Senior 3D Artist, Stephan Williams, for an interview and demo of Carbine Studio's and NC Soft's upcoming MMORPG. Although he was not able to answer every question we sure hounded him for a solid twenty minutes or so. I was joined with two special guests, TJ Jensen and Erik Gmitter. Together we were blown away by the amazing graphics, animations, and features that they had to show off in the PAX East demo. The story behind WildStar is thus; the home world of the long lost Eldan civilization has just been rediscovered and everyone in the galaxy is racing to find out its secrets. Read More...

Interview With Obsidian's Chris Avellone
by Fred Buell [ Wednesday, 20th of March 2013 - 06:33 PM ]
The last few months I have been emailing back and forth with Chris Avellone; Co-Founder of Obsidian Entertainment; conducting an interview over email. This has culminated in one of the most in-depth, and amazing interviews I have done, or seen anywhere. Enjoy. Aggrogamer: First let's talk about the old days. You started off at Black Isle with Brian Fargo and a lot of the guys at Obsidian working on the Fallout titles and some of the Gold Seal DnD games. How was it helping shape modern RPGs at the time? Review: Borderlands 2
by Kenton Winkfield [ Thursday, 27th of September 2012 - 05:06 PM ]
I first experienced Borderlands 2 at PAX East, where I got to play the demo and see some of the new features it had to offer. Five months later, I am running through the game with the excitement of a little boy picking out his presents at a toy store. Borderlands 2 takes players into (or back into) Pandora to take on a new evil, who in turn is trying to resurrect an old evil. The journey will require skill, determination, allies, and guns. Lots of guns. Read More...

Review: Drinking Quest
by Fred Buell [ Friday, 21st of September 2012 - 11:46 PM ]
Drinking Quest is a game type that is not typically reviewed here, but it's one that definitely fits our gamer requirement and I think it's time we bring in the table-top gamers and video gamers into one niche. With that out of the way, Drinking Quest is a game that seamlessly blends your traditional table-top RPG and drinking games inside of a card game with various subtle references to pop culture from over the years. You can choose one of four characters each with various stats, weapon proficiencies, and a special ability card. There are four "quests" to a game and the hero with the most XP wins the game. by Matt Waitt [ Wednesday, 15th of August 2012 - 04:50 PM ]
Alright guys, welcome to Aggrogamer's new monthly (weekly?) segment called "The Old School" where we play the classics of yesteryear and past generations and review them. Since this is new, it is also subject to change and I'm giving that power to you guys. Would you rather keep the "review" style or go for a "Play through / Walkthrough" style with commentary? We're also taking suggestions for the next game we do. Leave a comment below to let us know. Read More...

Kill Goths, Gingers & Hippies In South Park
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 11th of January 2012 - 08:01 PM ]
So given all of the issues that the kids from South Park have taken on in the show, you'd figure it would be easy to assume that some of these people, places or things would make it over into South Park: The Game. Those assumptions obviously would be right and by looking below you can see a few new shots of the RPG title in the works at Obsidian Entertainment and THQ. All of which are assumed to be in game of course. Not that we could really tell the difference here as the whole game is being done in the same style as the show. Read More...

A Moment of your Time...
by Bryan Ray [ Tuesday, 8th of November 2011 - 01:21 AM ]
Greetings fellow gamers! If I could have a brief minute, I would like to tell you about myself. My name is Bryan Ray, frequently referred to as King Xanadu, and I will be writing for Aggrogamer over the next several months. (Perhaps years? I like the thought.) I play mostly XBox 360 though I do have a Steam account for my dated laptop (It's old enough to have a “supports Windows Vista” sticker on it) but I don’t use it as much as I’d like. I love music, a lot. So much that I am currently attending college for it. Read More...

Diablo III Delayed Until Early 2012
by Corey Dockendorf [ Friday, 23rd of September 2011 - 07:03 PM ]
The Diablo III Beta test hasn't even been live for a whole week, and Mike Morhaime announced today that releasing Diablo III "Soon" was too soon. Since February Blizzard had said they were "hoping" to have a launch by the end of this year, but never fully committed to it. Well looks like players are going to have to wait a while longer to get in on this hot title. "While this news might not be a complete surprise, I know that many of you were hopeful that Diablo III would ship this year. We were too. Read More...

It's About Time For Some New Final Fantasy XIII-2 Stuff
by Irene Collazo [ Thursday, 25th of August 2011 - 10:30 PM ]
Isn't it about time that we got a slew of new screen shots and such for Final Fantasy XIII-2? Not to mention a narration from the game's developers for the trailers that have been show to us in the past. Wouldn't that be a nice little update for the day? I think it would be, so I guess I'll do just that for you below. There is nothing too revealing on anything here except further proof of Square Enix doing an amazing job with visual effects in their games. As if we didn't already know that. Read More...
