Ninjas & Robots Team Up, Nothing Good Can Come Of This
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 12th of August 2010 - 11:11 AM ]
Instead of facing off in a bloody, futuristic main event, like they should have, 2K Games and Gearbox are teaming up to show their post-apocalyptic supremacy over everything. At least that is the premise behind the new DLC for Borderlands - Claptrap's New Robot Revolution. Wait, you didn't know there is some new DLC rolling out for Borderlands? Read More...

Review: Alpha Protocol
by Kevin [ Thursday, 3rd of June 2010 - 03:56 PM ]
There were few games I was looking forward to this year more than Alpha Protocol. With every new video and image released I thought the customization, character interaction and apparent polish on the title would really push it to the top of my "gotta play" list. I felt like Obsidian Entertainment wouldn't disappoint, with their history of working on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II and Neverwinter Nights 2. Read More...

Lessons Learned: Record of Agarest War
by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 17th of May 2010 - 07:34 AM ]
Have you ever been excited for a game's release, and somehow found a way to ruin the game experience due to your own mistake? I guess in my case, it's more stupidity than a mistake. What I am about to recount is how I went from being in Heaven to dragging myself through Hell in a matter of 10 days. Read More...

10 Things You Ought To Know: Final Fantasy XIII
by Brian Bentley [ Tuesday, 11th of May 2010 - 11:18 AM ]
It has been two months since the release of Final Fantasy XIII on the PlayStation 3 and XBox 360. Some – including myself – were among the many people who began playing on release day, just clamoring for the return to the Final Fantasy series. Meanwhile, others lost interest in the game or are saving the experience in order to play titles that were released around the same time (read: God Of War III). Read More...

Review: Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon
by Michael Camacho [ Friday, 9th of April 2010 - 02:22 PM ]
Fragile Dreams: Farewell Ruins of the Moon, developed by Namco and localized by XSeed Games, is an interesting game. I felt like I was playing an anime with many Japanese RPG elements infused within. Fragile Dreams is about a young boy named Seto, who is on a quest to find others in the world after nearly everyone has disappeared. Read More...

Review: Dragon Age: Origins Awakening

Disclaimer: Before you continue on to reading this review, I want to say a couple of things. If you have not played Dragon Age: Origins, I highly recommend you do before playing this expansion. While it is playable as a stand alone on consoles, you will be doing yourself a huge disservice by not playing through the original storyline. Read More...

by Michael Camacho [ Monday, 8th of February 2010 - 01:31 PM ]
*Disclaimer: If you have not played Mass Effect, then I urge you to play through it before reading this review, as it will contain some spoilers from the first game. After the original Mass Effect, Bioware had a tough job on their hands. They made an excellent game, but one that was hampered by complaints from the players. Read More...

Sword & Poker: The .99 Cent iPhone Battery Killer
by Kevin [ Sunday, 24th of January 2010 - 12:03 PM ]
I've come across a multitude of titles in the App Store that attempt to bridge the gap between two gaming genres. There have been varying degrees of success for most of these games, but every now and again there's a title that not only dares to get the formula right - but sees fit to destroy the battery in my phone (which, admittedly, with an iPhone isn't too terribly difficult). In this case the game in question is "Sword&Poker" - and yes it is exactly what it sounds like. Read More...
