A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week If you were hoping things to be quite this week in video games just before E3, we would all be wrong. It is seeming more and more as if we are getting announcements before the event instead of surprises day of. I will take it as we did get to see Baldur's Gate 3 and Darksiders Genesis announced during this week and get us ready for next week. Not only that, but we did get to see Watch Dogs Legion announced after the usual leaks that happen for that company before the event. Read More...

The next fighter for Samurai Shodown is announced here, as Tam Tam will be back in the mix for this Samurai Shodown in a few weeks The fighters keep rolling out for Samurai Shodown, as we now have word that Tam Tam will be back in the fight and bringing the same style of fighting back to the franchise. Not a huge shocker as Tam Tam has been in so many titles over the franchise's run, but we can rest assured that he will be here on SNK's current outing. That and it means we have a new trailer to look at for the character and how he will look and play in this Samurai Shodown. Read More...

We are officially getting a remake for Destroy All Humans! with all of the classic things from Destroy All Humans! back in with a few of the rumored items too The third and final reveal from THQ Nordic is here and it is the much-rumored remake of Destroy All Humans! that many have been hoping for. All of those hopes sprung up way back when the IP was bought by THQ and now we see that they have tasked Black Forest Games with remaking the game and bring it to us in 2020. When in 2020 is still a mystery, but at least we know we will have more Destroy All Humans! Read More...

A new title, Gylt, has been announced during the Stadia live event where Gylt will bring some exclusive creepiness to the service The big announcement for Stadia went off earlier today and along with it came the announcement of one of the first exclusive titles to the new service Gylt. This would be the next title in the growing list from Tequila Works and with Google behind it further to give gamers something truly new when the service launches later. We will not dive into any of the business choices there for the exclusivity, but instead will focus on just what Gylt is with its new and creepy vibe gamers will have a chance to experience. The developer does have a great history when it comes to all of that, so we can be in for something there at the very least. Read More...

The next Darksiders title has been announced and will be altering the style and bringing us Strife with Darksiders Genesis It looks like we were all right in guessing what THQ Nordic was going to announce as we have Darksiders Genesis here just before the big showing at E3. This would be their next title in the franchise and it is a prequel to it all. Not only that, but we get to finally see Strife in action in the franchise. The mix in Darksiders Genesis is now a top-down action-RPG instead of the usual gameplay we are used to. Read More...

More concept art for Beyond Good & Evil 2 is here to give us all a little taste of what we can expect in this Beyond Good & Evil a bit It was recently stated that Beyond Good & Evil 2 was going to be sitting this E3 out for the year, but that does not mean that we will not be getting some kind of updates for it at all. Sure, there are the Space Monkey reports out there that Ubisoft is placing out there and we may see a new trailer before or after the event. There is nothing specific set down as of yet, but we do have something new for Beyond Good & Evil 2. Read More...

The next title in the Watch Dogs franchise is now announced, as we will see Watch Dogs Legion at E3 this year after various ‘leaks’ If you were hoping for a huge reveal to happen from Ubisoft at E3, then it is time to take some of the steam out as we have word that Watch Dogs Legion is officially going to be a thing now. Not that there will not be other huge announcements, but it looks like the publisher opted to get out ahead of the recent leak of the game and announce it before their big event. Why no one can hold on to their secret information they have been trusted with is beyond me still, but it is what it is. Read More...

The release date for The Surge 2 is now set and just as it was rumored before, we can look for The Surge 2 to hit us this September It looks like we can put the rumors and leaks to rest as we have the official release date for The Surge 2 directly from the source. It was greatly rumored and speculated on after a little leak happened that this game would be hitting the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 23rd of this year. It would make sense given the timeline we have had since Deck 13 showed we were getting this sequel. But that date was wrong. Read More...

The first big update for World War Z is here and we have more details on how this will expand and change World War Z for the better The major content update for World War Z that we have heard about is finally here and ready for us to add to our game. While the fact that the update was coming has not been a huge secret, Saber Interactive had not given up much in the way of details for it all. That is until now on launch day when we finally get to find out just what will be coming in this update besides the new story chapter and zombie type. Again, all things we knew were coming to World War Z with little information besides it all being set in Tokyo in the game. Read More...

It has been announced that Jumanji: The Video Game is on the way and coming to us just before the next Jumanji film It really seems like this should have been a while coming now, but Jumanji: The Video Game is officially announced and coming for us on November 15th of this year. Just in time to be out before the next in the film series. My guess is that Funsolve and Outright Games made sure to plan it that way even if it is not being called a film tie-in game at all. Something that has not been stated for Jumanji: The Video Game mind you, but it will be using the likenesses of all of the current cast members of the film. Read More...

New screenshots for Control are here just before E3 to give us another look at what we can expect for Control after the event In just over a week, we will all have a media blitz with E3 and it looks like it may be starting earlier, as usual, with Control. That is, we have a load of new screenshots for the game before it is shown off in a final form by Remedy out at the event. It still is releasing on August 27th, so there is still plenty of time to be teased with new gameplay videos and the other bizarreness we have seen in the past. For now, we will focus on some of the new images for Control and see if there is much that we can glean from them all. Read More...

The first few fighters of Mortal Kombat 11's Kombat Pack have been announced with more classic Mortal Kombat fighters showing back up Before Mortal Kombat 11 launched we knew we were going to be seeing Shang Tsung back in action and using the likeness and voice of Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa from the film. It was a nice treat to have back then when NetherRealm Studios was getting us all hyped up for the game and now we know when we will be able to add that character to our rosters. That would be June 18th for those that shelled out for the ability to have Early Access to the Kombat Pack for Mortal Kombat 11. Read More...
