Take To The Shadows Again As The Aragami: Nightfall Expansion Is Announced
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 30th of March 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
A new expansion for Aragami, an action stealth game from 2016, has been announced and we get to see more of the world’s story with Aragami: Nightfall If you think back to October of 2016, you may remember a fun new title named Aragami that came out that mixed together a few really great game mechanics and made for an overall fun game. Lince Works did not hide the fact that the game took elements from Tenchu, Metal Gear Solid, and Mark Of The Ninja to craft a game that blended all of those together in a fun way. It was not widely received, but it still brought some fun to the PS4 and PC. Read More…

Learn How To Fight Like Kratos In The New God Of War
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of March 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
A new behind the scenes video for God Of War is here to show us just how we can fight like Kratos from God Of War… or at least fake it… More from behind the scenes of God Of War is here as we have yet another motion capture video showing off how the team is making the game as life-like as possible. No, it does not look like Santa Monica Studios is doing anything that has not been done before in modern video games, but we at least get to see how some of the big attacks and combos we will be performing ad nauseam were digitized. Weirdly, none of it looks to have been done at all by the actual actor for Kratos and Atreus in God Of War, but it does look like all of the rage and anger will carry over. Read More…

Pathfinder: Kingmaker Unloads Its Features With A Bit More Gameplay
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of March 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
A new trailer for Pathfinder: Kingmaker is here and it goes over some of the gameplay features as well as the elements it will bring from the base Pathfinder: Kingmaker version Last year we had a chance to watch as the Pathfinder: Kingmaker Kickstarter campaign fired off and then was a huge success almost doubling what the team over at Owlcat Games was looking for to bring it into existence. Being a fan of the tabletop version of the game and the specific adventure path, I was amped to see that it was going to be a thing and in similar veins of Baldur’s Gate with all of the political intrigue I have grown to love. Now we have our first real taste of just how this version of Pathfinder: Kingmaker has progressed and all of the extra features we are going to be getting in the final game with more as time presses on. Jurassic World Evolution’s Release Date Is Set & We Can Get Even More Dinosaurs
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Thursday, 29th of March 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
The release date for Jurassic World Evolution has been set with its pre-orders so you can pick it all up just before the next Jurassic World film hits We now have an official release date for Jurassic World Evolution and to very little surprise it is in line with the release of the new film in the same franchise. To think that Frontier Developments would miss out on that synergy of sorts would have been a hard sell for many, myself included. Although it does now place it right back into the realm of Jurassic World Evolution being a film tie-in video game but it does hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC digitally about ten days before on June 12th so there is a bit of a gap. by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of March 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
We sit down and review Q.U.B.E. 2. The puzzles and story continues as we try to make heads and tails of things. Here is our review of Q.U.B.E. 2 It is time to head back into the weirdness and puzzles with Q.U.B.E. 2. The sequel, obviously, to the last title that Toxic Games brought us that introduced us to some weird new puzzles to solve with the use of special cubes. Cubes that we bring to life with our special suit and granted through various other means. I know I particularly loved the first Q. Read More…

Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden’s First Gameplay Is Here To Bring Us In
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Wednesday, 28th of March 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
The first gameplay demo for Mutant Year Zero: Road To Eden is here and it gives us a lot more to go on for Mutant Year Zero than we could have hoped for Earlier in the month we saw Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden get all announced and everything but only had a cinematic trailer to go on to get a feel for what the game would truly be bringing. It looked amazing, but from the description that came with it, it did not feel like the same game that The Bearded Ladies were working on and aiming to give us. Not in a bad way, but the description was more tactical-adventure while the video looked more plain adventure in a weird setting. Read More…

See Dying Light: Bad Blood In Action For A Little Bit
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Tuesday, 27th of March 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
New gameplay for Dying Light: Bad Blood is here and it gives us a small taste of where this battle royale mode for Dying Light is currently at Not too long ago we heard about Dying Light: Bad Blood and what it was going to be bringing to the base game in terms of keeping up with all of those other titles out there. Not too surprising, it was the answer to the Battle Royale craze that is going on from Techland but also set in their zombie "shooter" that has had quite some staying power over the last few years. The core Dying Light hit the PS4, Xbox One, and PC three years ago and players are still deeply involved in it. Read More…

Rumor Mill: Borderlands 3 May Get A Full Reveal At E3 & Release In September
by Julia Schoebel [ Tuesday, 27th of March 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
A new video and bit of information for Borderlands 3 has popped up and it points to a reveal of Borderlands 3 this June and a possible release date Update Confirmed To Be Fake Despite seeming to be backed by convincing evidence, the Borderlands 3 leak has turned out as a fake. Last year, around this same time, Gearbox showed us a little bit of what could potentially be a Borderlands 3 game. It was a tech demo to show off the work the team has done with the engine they are working in and how far the visuals could be pushed; even with this art style. Read More…

System Shock’s Remake Now Saddled With A Q1 2020 Release
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of March 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
In a recent interview about System Shock’s Remake, it was revealed that we might not see this newer version of System Shock until Q1 of 2020 Just over a month ago we were all told that System Shock’s Remake was going to be placed on a hiatus of an undetermined amount of time. The team needed to refocus, they needed to get back to what they promised, and Nightdive Studios needed to make the final leap from Unity to Unreal as they have done already. There was no mention of when this remake would eventually come, but it all happened. Now we jump to GDC here recently and the fine people over at PC Gamer were able to find out the current projection for System Shock’s Remake to finally come and now we 'possibly' look for it on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Q1 of 2020. Welcome To Georgetown In Overkill’s The Walking Dead
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of March 2018 - 07:00 PM ]
A new look at Overkill’s The Walking Dead title is here and they take us further into some of the environments inspired by The Walking Dead universe Just a bit more for Overkill’s The Walking Dead title has been placed out there in the mix of the very little we all have had so far. It is still scheduled to release this Fall for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC but Overkill and Starbreeze have not truly given us all much to go on. It is set in The Walking Dead universe, most likely the comics, and also takes place where the core of that story is held. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Monday, 26th of March 2018 - 05:00 PM ]
It looks like Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice is no longer a console exclusive as Xbox gamers will be able to experience Hellblade here in April Good news for those Xbox One gamers out there who wanted a chance to experience the fun of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. The game is making the jump over to your platform here on April 11th so you can see what they hype is all about. It will no longer be the domain of the PC and PS4 gamers out there so all can get a real showing of how Ninja Theory is pushing the industry forward in not only tech but also in how certain stories can be told and aid society. I know Hellblade has helped me to understand what others go through with some of these ailments as well as help others understand my own issues. Read More…

This Week In Video Games 3/19/18 — 3/23/18
by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of March 2018 - 11:00 PM ]
A lot has gone on this week in video games. Here is a recap of what we covered in the world of video games on the site this week Put one more of those weeks of video games in the bag again, as we have come to a close yet again. Just for this week and not for good that is. With all kinds of news and updates out there. Although, it did seem to favor God Of War and Far Cry 5 more than anything. We did get to see the DLC for South Park: The Fractured But Whole launch and more for Detroit: Become Human, but those other two video games sure took up a whole lot of time this week. Read More…

by David 'Hades' Becker [ Friday, 23rd of March 2018 - 09:00 PM ]
A new title, Afterparty, has been announced and will have us partying our way out of Hell to the ultimate Afterparty and salvation If you were sent to Hell for "reasons" and the only way out was to be the Devil at a drinking contest, could you do it? That is what Afterparty is going to try to answer when it comes to us in 2019. At least that is how it all seems based on the teaser announcement that Night School Studio has put out for their next title. Yes, this is a real thing and we can all experience the fun in Afterparty as we head down this rabbit hole and see just how we can get out. Read More…
