Well it looks like the Wii is now creating it's very own fitness facilities right in your home.
I understand the popularity of the Wii Fit, I mean its innovative, it's new, it's healthy, but really these items will be put in a closet or stashed somewhere after a few months of boredom if more games cannot be used with them.
First up is the WiiDum, 1.7lb weights that cradles the controller ever so softly. Great for Triceps/Biceps workouts.
Then we have the WiiSkab (worst name ever) for the Tony Hawk in all of us that actually attaches to the Wii Fit board, and moves just as if it was on wheels. I have heard that this works with Skate It, Shaun White Snow Boarding and Wii Ski&Snow Board. Give me a new version of Skate or Die and i might be enticed to buy this little gem.
Finally we have the WiiStep. Very self explanatory. A few rubber tabs on the bottom keep it from sliding all over the place like a dance dance pad on hard wood floors (trust me, i've been there). And it will support up to 350lbs. That's impressive for such a small little structure.
I honestly would not be surprised, if gyms just started using the Wii as a new training resource, to get more gamers to come to the gyms more. But how cool would that be to be in the gym and see 15 to 20 people in a gym class playing Shaun White Snow boarding?
