Yes, in my opinion it was a sneak attack by Resident Evil 5 producer Jun Takeuchi. Don't believe me, then check out the small blurb sent out from Capcom in their most recent press release about Street Fighter IV selling 2 million + copies. That and it was kind of on the sly released onto XBox Live.

In an industry-first, we've announced a new game through the Xbox LIVE service, complete with an introductory video from the producer and director. Not to be missed! Capcom has announced Lost Planet 2. With a small introduction from Jun, himself, this shows what we can all look forward to within the next installment. Then after watching it, see a little bit of the Q and A with the Director of the game, Kenji Oguro. He fleshes out a bit more of what you see in the trailer as well as a bit more on the game itself. But as the small blurb says, there will be a more official version of this announcement come Wednesday. They are just hooking up those who know where to find the video.
