Agony Is Finally Getting Its Unrated Version For Halloween

An Unrated version of Agony is now releasing out there just in time to add Agony to your Halloween gaming list

If you were holding out for the ever rumored and nixed Unrated version of Agony, then good on you for holding hope as it is now coming and will be launched on October 31st now. I say all of this as it has been a huge point of contention for the game and Madmind Studios even declared it would not be coming at all due to legal issues. It looks like those have been resolved somehow as it will now be heading to the PC version Agony now with no word on if it will be heading to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. At least as of the writing of this whole bit here. We can still hold out hope there too if you are still looking for this game.

The unrated version of Agony is also supposed to be bringing along a few other updates and features to the game, as the following trailer states, but the finer details of that are also not detailed as of yet. More or less this is starting to sound like a "definitive" edition of the game without having the official title. Especially since it looks like more of the character and environmental models have been updated too. It is what it is and you can see what I am talking about here for Agony just below. Then get ready to dive into this new version of the game just in time for Halloween. At least on the day at a minimum.

Agony — Unrated

Agony Unrated features a full-fledged story mode as well as an open challenge system that randomly generates levels for players to explore and survive to gain new Highscores. Agony throws players in the midst of hell where they strive to stay alive and solve the riddle behind the mysterious Red Goddess; architect of this place of sorrow and pain, and the sole entity with knowledge of how escape… but there is more to the story than it seems. Haunted by nightmare creatures, players gain the ability to possess demons and other souls to find their way out of Hell.

Are you surprised that Agony will be getting a full, unrated version now or did you figure it would be coming at some point? Do you think it needed model updates from before or is this just something to draw us all back in again? Do you think this version will hit the consoles at some point or will it be a PC only kind of thing? Let us all know down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. As we learn more for Agony, we will have it here for you. Just be sure to keep checking back in to see it all and more.
