Darksiders

New gameplay for Darksiders III is here from Gamescom as well as a new cinematic that brings the last two Darksiders protagonists back

As was to be expected, Darksiders III has a whole lot more to show off out at Gamescom and one of the bigger things has to be a look at Death and War as they will be making a showing in Fury's story here. If you have been a fan of the franchise thus far, it does not come as a huge surprise that Gunfire Games would be adding the characters into the mix here as THQ Nordic did it in the last title too. Granted, they did it in a way where Death had to fight an incarnation of War in Darksiders II and not as a much more. It does look like they could have a larger play in the overall story here, but we will have to wait until November 27^th to see that in action for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

That is of course if we do not get more story-like trailers as we also have here for Darksiders III. It would not be a huge gaming convention without a good story trailer and that is where we get to see three-fourths of the band together having a talk. It is not the grandest look and such, but at least we know that the games will truly be connected in this way and not just side stories going on before, during, or after the events of the very first Darksiders. Although I would love to see Strife make a quick appearance somewhere in the game to give us a final look at the whole crew. At least before we have a long wait for Strife's game to come and we can have the whole saga before us.

In addition to the new story bits here, we also have a whole new look at some gameplay for Darksiders III here. Given that there is a demo on the floor out there as Gunfire Games is showing off the game at Gamescom it makes sense. Although, do not get too excited as it is a mismatch of what has been released so far but with a different player at the wheel. So it is kind of different but still about the same as we have seen for Darksiders III thus far. There is a little more of the game's story mixed into it for those trying to stay spoiler-free.
