Keeping up with all of the big reveals before their big showcase, it looks like we now have the release date set again for Days Gone. If you remember, it was delayed by Bend Studio earlier this year and now it looks like it is still on track to release on the PS4 in 2019 as promised. In all actuality, Days Gone is aiming to launch on the PS4 early in 2019. To go one set further, it is now set with a February 22nd release date for 2019. Now we know exactly when we will be seeing our next "zombie" open world game we will need to explore and survive. Amazing news indeed.
To go along with this new announcement for Days Gone, we also have a nice new trailer filled with story, gameplay, and all kinds of new enemies we will need to survive and bring down in the game. We get to see that mountain lions and ravens are not free of whatever is causing the "freaker" plague out there. Something that a lot of other titles do not normally go near, but Days Gone is going with it. Now we will have to worry about all of that as well as infected wolves and bears. As if the non-infected versions of these animals were not going to be rough enough, now we have this. Awesome and I am up to the challenge.
We also get to see a new faction of human enemies in Days Gone as well. A group called the Rest In Peace or Rippers for short. They are a group of humans that have gone a bit mad and worship the "freakers" in the world for some weird reason. You know, because humans can never seem to keep their brains in order when it comes to the end of the world. Especially when you look at the fact that the Rippers will not even attack the "freakers" when a horde is overrunning their camps. A tactic that we can use in Days Gone if we so choose. Have a look at them all in action down in the following trailer and see what I am talking about.

Will you be able to contain yourself for Days Gone until February of next year or will you need something to help pass the time? How rough do you think it will be to deal with all of the infected animals out there as well as the human element? Why do you think that the Rippers worship the undead as they do here? Give us all of your thoughts on this down in the comments and then feel free to discuss. We will learn more for Days Gone in the coming months and as we do, we will update you on the site here. Just be sure to keep checking back in to see and hear it all.
