Even More Gameplay For Prey Has Been Shown Off At PAX East

Prey

Another long bit of gameplay for Prey has been released but this time we get to see some of Prey's alien abilities mixed into it all

Hopefully you are ready for a whole lot of new gameplay for Prey as that is what we have here for us all to digest. Well, some of it is new as the first bit is filled with the gameplay that Arkane Studios has already shown us all before, but thankfully there is a bit more than we've had before. There is still more to see for Prey before May 5th of course, but given that Bethesda was out at the con to show it all off, the amount still in hiding has been dwindled a little more. Especially since now we have the chance to see some of the alien powers in action for the first time.

Of course, all of this is filled with a few spoilers for the opening of Prey for those who are trying to go in as blind as possible. Thankfully most of the story bits have been skipped over from what I can see, but there are still a few minor ones left in so take that as you will. Halfway through though the team switches over to show off the few alien abilities we've already seen in trailers, but now we get to see them function in the actual game. Mostly just the Mimic ability, but there are a few others as well as the skill tree a little more expanded. I'll let you find out for yourself though in the video below.

Prey — PAX East Gameplay

You are Morgan Yu, the subject of morally dubious experiments designed to improve the human race. You awaken aboard the Talos 1 in the year 2032 and must uncover the secrets hiding in the depths of the space station while being hunted by the mysterious alien force that has taken over. You’ll have to rely on the tools you find on the station – along with your wits, weapons and mind-bending abilities – to combat the growing threat and, hopefully, survive.

What do you think of the new bits of gameplay we had for Prey here? What about the alien powers that we have to see here and which do you think you'll be using the most in the game? Do you think you could handle a VR version of the game given some of the visuals we see here or will you be glad to see it stay in the normal form? Let us know down in the comments and then discuss. Prey is still slated for May 5th for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC and hopefully we will keep seeing more of it as we lead up to the release date. I am almost certain we will so stay locked in here for all of that in due time.
