Darksiders
A new trailer for Darksiders Warmastered Edition has been released and it shows us how much improvement has come to this Darksiders title for next week
You may have remembered that Darksiders Warmastered Edition was announced a while back and it was slated to bring the amazing title to the PS4, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC again. It was also supposed to be released back in October but there was a delay to it all that really caught no wind. This is probably to the liking of THQ Nordic as it did keep them from having to explain off the delay of the game. If it makes for a better version of Darksiders I'll roll with the punches on the delay of course and as it looks and sounds we are going to be getting just that. This is going to be the publisher's first PS4 Pro and 4K resolution game for us even if it is a HD remaster to start with.
That's right, Darksiders Warmastered Edition now will be touting higher resolutions and frame rates for us all as long as we have the systems and setup to handle it all. Of course this is more geared at the PS4 Pro people and PC gamers out there who want to pick the game up again or for the first time. Sorry Wii U gamers. It looks like you'll be missing out on a little bit here for Darksiders but it is still an amazing game. That and if the teaser has anything to say about it, it looks like a title that could have been built from the ground up on the modern systems and not just an HD remaster. It does have that going for it.
Darksiders Warmastered Edition — Teaser
Darksiders Warmastered Edition Features:
- PS4, Xbox One and Wii U versions of Darksiders (Wrath of War)
- Native 1080p rendering resolution for console platforms
- 4k support for PC and PS4 Pro
- Doubled all the texture resolutions
- Rendering improvements and rework
- 60 FPS in moment to moment gameplay (30 for Wii U)
Of course I am still looking at all of this with the eyes that if Darksiders Warmastered Edition sells well and brings in more fans to the franchise then we could be seeing another addition into the universe on the rise. There are two more horsemen out there with their own version of the story to be told. Now that THQ Nordic has brought the older games to a new market and secured the rights to the franchise, it is extremely likely this could happen. At least if they make money off of all of this here. Again, things are looking good in that aspect based on what we have here and will be seeing on November 22nd.
What do you think about Darksiders Warmastered Edition now that we have a solid look at the visuals of the game here? Do you think that the month delay was worth it or do you think it would have looked about the same otherwise? How likely do you think a third and fourth addition to the franchise will be based on this game alone? Let us know all of your thoughts and discuss in the comments. As we get more on Darksiders in any way, we will have it here. Be sure to stay locked into the site here to make sure you are completely up to date as we can let you be.
