Hitman
A new CGI trailer for Hitman has been released to try and bridge a 20 year gap in story but also get us pumped for more Hitman beta action
As most of us know for the upcoming Hitman game there was a nice little prologue that we get to play. Some of those who set the time aside were already able to play this "mission" as Io Interactive and Square Enix gave us a little beta on the PS4 and PC version of the game. It wasn't open for all just as of yet but it was set to show us what happened 20 years before the main bulk of Hitman takes place. It is nice to know before the March 11th date but in the end it was just a sample. I know I would like to know what happens in the world between the prologue and the first real missions we will be undertaking.
The good news is that now we get to see that nice little bridge in a new trailer form. Yes, 20 years of killing and doing what Agent 47 does well in Hitman has all been placed in a nice little package of a two and a half minute video. Looks like he's been cleaning up very well or just hasn't had that much going on since the Prologue and the first Paris mission of Hitman. We can pretend it is the prior as we are not getting to see all that much but know that 47 has had to have been hard at work or he wouldn't be off the bench for the full game.
None the less, here is what happened in that 20 year gap of Hitman just for you.
Hitman — Legacy
Kind of a letdown I know but since you are probably looking for another great Hitman pick-me-up to get ready for that March 11th release date then there is some news for you. At least if you are looking to play the game on the PS4 and happen to have an active PS+ account right now. That would be most PS4 players right now from my count but anyways; it looks like Io Interactive is bringing the Hitman beta back for another weekend and those two requirements are all you need to give it a go. Well, also you need the free time over the weekend of March 4th.
For the most part it will be just like the Hitman beta that happened for all of those pre-order gamers out there. The big difference will be that this is going to be a stress test for the server to handle all of the players at once. Well all of the PlayStation players as I am pretty sure that their servers still segregate gamers based on the platform of choice. I could be wrong but this is still the main goal of the beta opening up again as the content will still be just the prologue mission and story to give us all a good taste of what to expect when Hitman finally launches.
Does this little video for Hitman truly gap the whole 20 years that we miss in the game or did you want more? Are you excited to be able to jump back into the beta for the game or jump in for the first time if the case may be? Do you think that things will feel different and slower given the kind of test that is going on here? Let us know and discuss away in the comments below. As Square Enix doles out more on Hitman and its other IPs we will have the updates here for you. Be sure to keep checking back in agent for all of that as it comes in the not too distant future.
