Umbrella Corps
New information for Umbrella Corps has been released and it details a solo mode for Umbrella Corps as well as a few RE4 and RE5 inspired locations to fight in
So far Umbrella Corps has had the focus placed on the multiplayer aspect of the game. It has all been a lot of "What would Resident Evil have been like from the side of the trained military group from Umbrella and other corporation vying over the bio-weapons" kind of thing so far. Well it looks like Capcom isn't going to have only that kind of gameplay in Umbrella Corps when it lands in May for the PS4 and PC. In fact there is now a new mode for the game called "The Experiment" that is all about the solo play of Umbrella Corps and how that can pan out.
From the sounds of it here the solo play in Umbrella Corps comprises of about 20 different missions to help guide the player in the ways of the game. The objectives may vary but for the most part it is slated toward training the player to go online. The other option being a horde-like mode where you as the player take on waves of bio-weapons in Umbrella Corps without the aid of the Zombie Jammer tool to cloak your presence. Nothing too crazy or to write home about but at least all of you solo gamers out there will have an option when it comes to how you play Umbrella Corps.
You can see a bit of these modes in the following trailer that has been released but the big focus in this video happens to be the other topic raised above for Umbrella Corps: The Maps. It looks like we are getting a map based on The Village from Resident Evil 4 and the Tricell building from RE5. There is also another tease at the end for some of the African Villages but that will be in another video from Capcom I am certain. Can't blow your load in one sitting here for Umbrella Corps now can they?
Unlike the other maps that we have already seen for Umbrella Corps these new ones don't house the traditional monsters or bio-weapons for the franchise. At least in terms of zombies as in the RE4 inspired map we will have not only the rival players to fend off from but the crazed Ganados lurking about. In the RE5 map we will have the addition of those damned Cerberus dogs roaming the map to add an extra pain in our sides. If only there was a true solo mode for Umbrella Corps then this game would really have it all for the Resident Evil fan now wouldn't it?
