Here's How We Should Play Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection

Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection is out in short time here for the PS4 and Xbox One. Tomorrow (3/24) to be completely on the ball here and to make sure you know when you can pick up yet another remastered set of games this time from Gearbox and 2K. We can't have all of those gamers out there whom only own an Xbox One and/or PS4 miss out on all of the Borderlands fun so here we go with Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection to bring them a good chunk of the franchise in short order.

You know what the impending launch of Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection means right? Queue up the wacky music and screams again as it means; LAUNCH TRAILER SHOWING 'GAMERS' PLAYING THE GAME IN WAYS WE NEVER REALLY WOULD! All in the guise to show us how much fun we are going to have while playing the contents of The Handsome Jack Collection with the new local co-op added in for Borderlands 2 and The PreSequel. Let's watch all of those Shovin' Buddies go to town while they get shot at in the game.

Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection — Launch Trailer

Maybe two of these people here looked like they knew what they would really be doing if they were actually playing The Handsome Jack Collection here. Doesn't it bug everyone else that these kinds of promotional videos get made that shows all of us as goofballs who know how to play with the next gen systems while the controllers aren't even powered on? I get that 2K wants us to believe it is going to be so much fun that we are going to shove our friends around or look cool cosplaying as the characters for extra immersion. We all know that is never going to happen even with a package like The Handsome Jack Collection.

We can lie all we want but single player or local co-op, we are all going to look just like Claptrap here when rocking out Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection. Even if it is a bunch of Claptraps sitting next to each other making masturbation jokes and frantically pressing buttons in the game. That really is going to be how this all plays out and I don't get how or why 2K thinks this kind of crap is going to change our understanding of the industry. All in good fun right?

Maybe I am the minority here. Prove me wrong by posting your "Shovin' Buddies" gameplay of Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection down in the comments. Then we can actually put to rest the myth that gamers play while in cosplay and are as animated as a football fan during the World Cup or the Super Bowl. Whichever football you want to go with here.
