Announced today is Magicka: Wizards of the Square Tablet, developed by Ludosity. If you can’t guess from the title, it’s a tablet game. Plans are for it to be available on both the iPad and Android devices.

The game itself is reminiscent of Castle Crashers with a cartoony art style and the 2D layout and a Super Mario style over-world. All eight spells will be available and you can mix and match as much as you did in the PC version. All spells will be controlled by your fingers, so touch to your heart's content. A new campaign is being added mixed with the series signature humor. As is to be expected, it’s multiplayer. Up to four friends can run through the mayhem together. And splatter each other across the charming landscape.

I loved Magicka for the PC, and I’m hopeful that this will be just as good. As of yet, there are no release dates but you can venture forth to the new website to see a trailer, or below, and system requirements. Happy blasting.
