The trailer features a lot of blood and a lot of Japanese language. Thankfully there are subtitles. Killer is Dead is about a thirty-five year old assassin named "Mondo Zappa." Mondo works for an undercover organization called "Brian Execution Firm." The firm sends Mondo across a "near-future Earth" where space tourism and Cybernetics are the norm, and where Mondo must execute a crap load of criminals.

I guess you can say I'm a fan boy of Suda51 and Grasshopper Manufacture, but I can't help it when they make such amazing and unique games. In an industry filled with sequels, shovel-ware, and "been there done that" games, it's nice to see companies still making original games.
Killer Is Dead was planned around the end of 2009, but did not see the light of the development cycle until spring of 2011. Director Goichi Suda (Better known as Suda51) has described the game as:
The story of a man who doesn't show himself much in the public world, but still worms his way into society, and mercilessly eliminates the evil dispersed in it. It's a personal story, not one that's conscious of the chaos going on in the real world at the moment, but you might get more than a taste of that in the end anyway. |
Killer is Dead comes out this summer on PS3 and Xbox 360 (Sorry all you WiiU buyers)
