Next up is a new behind the scenes trailer for 38 Studios first game; Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. The trailer shows off a few of the cinematics within the game and is narrated Marty Stoltz (The cinematic director). He talks about the direction of the game, the troubles with cinematics and the combat system. I seriously cannot wait for this game to come out. I have my calendar marked for February 7th, 2012. Anything planned for that day is going to be thrown out the window for Kingdoms of Amalur.
What to expect for pre-order bonuses in Kingdoms of Amalur:
- All Participating Retailers will give a "Fate-touched" weapons pack which includes nine weapons that give bonus XP from Fate Shift kills
- Gamestop pre-orders will give the player a unique Twist of Fate card, three armor sets, and The Compass of Fate which will boost your powers of persuasion
- Amazon.com pre-orders will give the player a dousing rod with the ability to see all potion making reagents visible on their map
- Both Gamestop and Amazon.com pre-orders will also have the Fate-touched weapons pack
Last, but certainly not least, is the new live-action trailer for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Showing off a very high production value that makes me really want a Skyrim live-action movie now. I'm personally not sold yet on getting Skyrim, but hopefully in the days to come some of you guys can persuade me.
What to expect for pre-order goodies for Skyrim:
- The game in a fancy box
- Behind the Scenes DVD of the Making of Skyrim
- The Art of Skyrim book
- Alduin Statue standing 12" tall
- A map of Skyrim
Well that's it for this Trailer Park. I'll try to pop one of these up every Monday or so. Leave your opinions and questions in a comment below.
