Rockin' PWNAGE

PWNED

So I got a few things for all you Rockers from the US to Europe. Seems like EA drops all the info at the same time, so this will have a few Newiscles (Yes I know that's not the name. :)) here.

First EA announced the pricing that the have planned for the European version of the game. It kind of sucks too. First, on May 23rd the game will only be dropped on the XBox with now solid dates for the Playstation or Wii versions. So limited release. So if you have an XBox, you are in to join all the rest of us in the Rock Band World Tour with everyone else waiting.

Continuing with the same thing, they also released their pricing plan for this release. No Special Edition that the US got to see, but a new Instrument Edition. Sounds cool at first, until you learn that this edition does not have the game bundled with it. It is just the controllers. JUST THE CONTROLLERS! And this is for EUR 169. Then you have to get the actual game to play with the Instrument Edition. That's another EUR 69.99. So a grand total of EUR 240. I'm not sure about the COL over there, but doing a conversion, that's $378 American. That's insane. Hopefully my view on their economy versus ours is skewed and that isn't too insane for the Europeans.

The further information, which is kind of good news for all. On May 27th Hamonix is releasing 9 tracks specifically for the Euro-launch of the game. So how is this news for us here in the US? There is no indication that they will be Region Specific. So in theory, even in the US we should be able to get some of the tracks that are only in Europe. Which means hopefully I will see some Ramms+ein on Rock Band soon. Here's hoping and here's the list of songs.
