Why would this be now? Well the entire trailer shows how books have somehow gained enough power to destroy the world and attack young children. It says it right in the trailer too. "Forbidden Pages Lead Him Onto A Path Of Destruction." If that doesn't sum it up, the main character show here is also threatening a book not to go after his young daughter. Another kind of morality tale on the evils of books, at least how one could take it. Maybe this is a story on how Hitler got his disdain for literature and had the Nazis burning books. Hmm...
In all seriousness now, Nier does look a bit on the interesting side, especially since it is coming from Square Enix. Let's admit it, they are not well know for the other titles not Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts. But I will give credit where it is due, Nier does have me interested in seeing if Square Enix will be able to move out of their well know staples.
Yes, I know Square Enix has made other titles that are not JRPGs. But come on, they really are not know for those other titles and you know it.
