XBox Live Gets A Massive Update

Holy Hells there is a lot coming to XBox Live. All with in a week from today (August 5th, 2009). Not just minor updates either, but massive ones. Some of which teased about at E3 this year. Not to mention an "On Demand" type service for some the consoles games.

You could pick and choose from the presser below what you think is awesome, but that might take too much time for you. That being said, let me sum up some of the larger additions and updates for the service here. Then if you really want more, continue reading down to get the full details.

Socializing through Live looks like it will be a lot more streamlined as well as custom for each user. Avatars will be getting a slew of new content and themed fashions for us all to show off our personas online. Thus making it even easier to pull you or a friend out of the online line up. That is if you don't use the new abilities to arrange your content the way you want to now. With a better search structure set up to boot.

If all the XBox socializing isn't good enough for you and you need to reach out further, they got you covered there too. In this update, there will be the addition of Facebook and Twitter accessibility through your XBox Live account. You will never have to worry about people not hearing when you have chainsawed the same person again for the 28th time in Gears. You can do it all right there. Oh Snap!

One of the other major features I'll sum up for you before you move on is the Games on Demand. Which for the most part is as it sounds. A digital distribution process for some of the best and not so best XBox games out there. Well at least in the future. There will only be 21 as of the update, but still they have it in the works.

This whole addition will let you buy full release games from your Live account, just like you would from the XBLA. Except that you can directly use your Credit Card before downloading and playing the game straight from your system. Well as long as you have storage space large enough for all of the ones you want. There has been no word if it will work like the PSNs version of this, where you can download as many times as you want after purchase. But I'm sure this is how it will work.

So get ready for XBox Live to go through some awesome changes here in the next few days. Looks like we will all be pleasantly surprised with how it all will end up. Get to Tweeting you teens.
