Use Your Skillz To Pay Da Billz

Looks like there is a new site for gamers to literally put their money where their mouth is. Well more literal that the phase is commonly used. Who'd want to put all that dirty cash in their mouths? Sure I hope none of those Halo fanboys/fangirls. I do hope.

It was just announced that a new site, BringIt.com, is about to come out of beta and allow for gamers to compete against each other for more than just their pride, but their cold hard cash. Or digital representation of their cash that can be later withdrawn from their backs into cold hard cash. All by just letting people run mini-tournaments or competitions with Bring It being the middle man to ensure that the winner gets their due. Monetarily speaking.

To keep things from getting crazy, players are limited to $25 max bets at first. After 10 games, the max bets begin to rise up until a cut off of $500. Even though for the most part there haven't been many bets over $10 in general during the beta run. But you can see the potential in the end.

Also, to help with keeping people from "sharking" other players on the site, there is a system in place to gauge members based on their XBL and PSN accounts. This is to keep novice players matched with novice players and heavyweights all in the same section. Of course this is only a matter of time before this gets a work around of some sort. All so some expert can swipe $5 from a noob.

The beta is slated to end in the next few days with the whole site going live for competitors on the 360, Wii, PS3, and PS2. Only for 39 of the 50 states will allow for it at this time, as it still falls under online betting. But as the need for other sources of income grow, I see things shifting for those holding out.
