During the Marvel Civil War, Sue and her brother Johnny sided against Reed and the Superhuman Registration Act. Naturally this puts a strain on their marriage. During the final battle, she is saved from a bullet by Reed who sustains an injury as a direct result. Following the aftermath of the Civil War, the two reconcile their differences while taking a second honeymoon. During this time, they are temporarily replaced on the team by close friends T’Challa aka the Black Panther, and his wife Storm of the X-Men.

Sue is considered one of the most experienced and most revered female heroes in the Marvel Universe. Primarily she is capable of rendering herself invisible. This happens as a result of a psionic ability to bend all wavelengths of light around her body. Sue can extend this power to also turn other people, objects, etc. invisible. However, while invisibility is perhaps her most widely known power, Sue ability to manipulate an as yet unidentified form of energy. Likely linked to her invisibility, this energy can be used in a simple force blast or to create constructs of various sizes and shapes, all of which remain invisible. Sue has most commonly used this power to form protective barriers and force fields. They are also effective as offensive weapons as she has been able to project force behind the objects smashing them into enemies. Alternately she is capable of surrounding her target with a force field and crushing them or forming a force field inside of an object and inflating the construct causing the object to explode. Also her force fields have been used to simulate various other powers. By creating a small disc, Sue can stand on it and travel by way of levitating and controlling the disc in the air. She can also simulate telekinesis by generating a beam that forms a force field around an object which she can then manipulate.

Being a member of the Fantastic Four, Sue has had a taste of both the good and the bad when it comes to video games. All three of the Fantastic Four games (1 comic book based, 2 movie tie-ins) have been well terrible for lack of a better word. Thankfully her appearance in Marvel Ultimate Alliance was a saving grace. Essentially she played as a replacement for Jean Grey who was a stalwart member of the X-men in the first two Legends games. As a ranged character, Sue’s offense abilities revolved around her powers to generate force fields and manipulate energy. Her simulated telekinesis was a useful attack when properly leveled up. She also had a powerful ensnare ability which aloud her to temporarily trap an enemy in an invisible bubble and damage them over several seconds. Sue also had a rapid fire attack called Kinetic Bolts in which she could continuously fire smaller energy bolts in rapid succession. Defensively Sue was a very good selection because her Invisibility skill essentially caused all non-boss enemies to ignore her, and her Fantastic Shield skill was great for its ability to stop all ranged attacks.
