Painkiller Is Getting A Little More Metal As Hell Out There

Painkiller

New DLC for Painkiller is out there and it is offering up a bit more of the Metal feel to everything in Painkiller

As if Painkiller was not already heavy metal from the start, it looks like things are getting even heavier with the latest bit of DLC that is now out there for the game on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. A new update from Anshar Studios and 3D Realms to pull us back into the game, while also offering up some major content for the game. More than just the cosmetics coming to the weapons and characters in Painkiller, but some new things to play with and modes to run through. Just the way we should all be celebrating this time of year. Drenched in blood and tossing bullets around without a care. It is the most wonderful time of the year, and things are more Metal as Hell, for sure.

On top of the usual cosmetics that we can place on everything in Painkiller, this new update brings us ten new areas to fight in and a new boss battle. To help with all of that, we are also getting two new tools to use out there and cause all of the violence that the game has for us to bring into Purgatory again. Along with the new Rogue Angel Mode for the game. Just so we can further be the champion of everything and bring a bit more of the Hell into Purgatory out there. So, if you were not playing much of Painkiller before now, there is even more to pull you right in. Just so you can join the Hell that is the season we are living in the real world. Have a quick look at what is getting updated to your copy of the game right now, so you can experience it all when you boot it all up again. Blood and bullets are about to fly everywhere.

Painkiller — Metal As Hell Update

Purgatory has even more in store for you! 3D Realms and developer Anshar Studios have released the first major content update for Painkiller on PC and consoles. Free for all players, the “Metal as Hell” update adds two new throwable items to deploy in battle – the leeching Demon Blood and powerful Holy Orb Turret – as well as 10 new arenas and an additional boss fight for the roguelike Rogue Angel Mode, plus a host of quality-of-life features.

Purgatory just got louder. The new Metal as Hell update tears open the gates with a surge of raw power, amped up and forged for demon-crushing domination.

Step into the storm armed with fresh instruments of torment: new items that can turn the tide in a heartbeat. New battlegrounds reverberate with carnage, while a towering foe now stalks the shadows of Rogue Angel Mode. So, grab your leathers, tighten that bullet belt, and get to work, Champion.

Is this going to pull you back into Painkiller, or is it going to be a nice treat to have as soon as you load the game up again? How rough will the boss fight be in this update, and will we see even more of them down the line out there? Do the cosmetics in these games truly bring anyone in, or is it a way to make it feel like they are offering up more to fans while not offering up much value? Let us all discuss that in the comment section below. It looks like the fun of Painkiller is still carrying on, so expect us to have all we can for the game moving forward. It will be on the website or our various social media channels, so follow along on all of them so you are updated as soon as we have it all ready to share.
