Stupid Never Dies
A new bizarre game, Stupid Never Dies, has been announced and Stupid Never Dies looks to offer up something new for us all
It was stated during The Game Awards that GPTRACK50 was setting out to give us all a world and game that we have never seen before, and here we are with Stupid Never Dies. While the title is a bit on point with how many feel about the world, try not to take it at face value, as I am sure you will be wrong. Especially since this is a third-person melee title aiming to hit the PS5 and PC in the future, where we play as a timid zombie at the bottom rung of monster society. A zombie who is also trying to bring someone back to life, while also not trying to eat humans out there. A weird premise, for sure, with Stupid Never Dies leaning into the absurdity with the bubblegum-pop style for visuals and the chaos of many other hack-n-slash titles we have seen over the decades. Something that sounds quite a bit familiar like…
If I didn't know any better, a lot of this sounds and looks a lot like Lollipop Chainsaw, with Stupid Never Dies having a bit of a different premise and featuring Davy the zombie instead of a hot cheerleader with a chainsaw hunting down monsters in a similar way. I guess, Davy is a timid character, whereas Juliet was a bubblier and outgoing one, but wait, Davy is also trying to save a bubbly girl named Julia in Stupid Never Dies… Hmm… None of that is to say that the game does not sound and look like it can be a blast when it launches, but it does put a damper on the "Something we have never seen" aspect of the marketing. I feel like I have seen it, but with a new take now. Although I could be very wrong, as the following trailer weirdly makes it feel like it is going to be more of a rhythm title than what I have mentioned so far. Have a look at it just below, but take note that the music video part of it all is not the gameplay, that is when the melee combat with Davy summoning the undead comes up. Gods, I hate overhyped marketing…

What are your thoughts on Stupid Never Dies, and does it feel close to other games we have played before? Why does everyone always want to make it feel as if they are original, when it is clear that they are taking inspiration from others to improve on a formula? Did you also think that this could have been a rhythm game from how it was marketed, or do you like when you are fed parts of a game that do not represent what it actually is? Let us have those thoughts in the comment section and discuss all of them. While I have harped on Stupid Never Dies, it does look like a title I would absolutely love to play. I loved the other one that it is obviously taking inspiration from. Hopefully, we will have more for the game in a direct way, and when we do, we will share it all here on the website. Also, on all of our social channels. Please follow along on all of them so you do not miss out.
