REPLACED Finally Has A Release Date Set For The Full Release

REPLACED

The full release of REPLACED is now set, with REPLACED coming early in 2026 after such a long wait we’ve had

It has been so long since we saw REPLACED announced out there, with so little to go on since. A little bit of the norm when it comes to some games, but it felt as if Sad Cat Studios and Thunderful would have had the game out on the Xbox Series X|S and PC so much sooner, but after years of waiting, we now have a timeline to look for. The release date for REPLACED is ready to go, with the game gearing up to launch in 2026. March 12th of 2026 for those who have been waiting so long. Not just for the date, but also a bit more of the world and gameplay we have been waiting to see. Which, of course, is the next fun part of the update we have for the game today.

Now that we have the date out of the way, we can look at a bit more of the fiery gameplay we can expect in REPLACED. It is a 2.5D action-platformer title that will take us into an alternate 1980s America. One where the nuclear war fears came to light and brought the world close to an end. Thankfully, it didn't, and we are taking up the role of an AI trapped in a human body. As we run, jump, and climb our way through the pixel art-style of REPLACED to uncover the truths that are hidden in the background of the world. Maybe, even to help bring it all back to a grander state of things out there. Even if that might be a little harder to do with the whole nuclear fallout aspect of it all. Let's have a look at how that is all going to roll out here in a few months from now.

REPLACED — Release Date

Check out the latest trailer for REPLACED, a 2.5D narrative-driven action-platformer!

Set in an alternate history 1980s America, after a nuclear disaster has devastated the land. You play R.E.A.C.H., an AI trapped in the body of a human, as they uncover the secrets of the enigmatic Phoenix corporation.

Run, climb, and fight your way through this dystopian cyberpunk world with tight and responsive combat. The retro-futuristic world is brought to life in stunning detail, with hand-crafted pixel art, which is enhanced with modern effects to give REPLACED its dark and gritty vibe.

REPLACED releases on PC and Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass on March 12th, 2026.

Is it weird that we had to wait so long for REPLACED to finally get a release date? Do you like the look and feel of the art the game is going to give us? How will the story unfold with the world mostly being destroyed already? Will it be explained how humanity thrived after such a massive disaster wrecked the world? Let's talk about all of that and more in the comment section. Now that we know there is some end in sight for REPLACED, expect to see a bit more for the game as we get closer to the launch. Even if it is not a massive AAA title, it does deserve to have some of the attention out there. Which is something we will be offering up on the site and our socials, so please follow along so you don't miss a single little update out there.
