A New, Murky Medieval World Is Calling Us In With The Announcement For Alkahest

Alkahest

A new RPG, Alkahest, is announced and it looks like Alkahest is going to give us a lot more of the action-adventure everyone loves

Those who may have grown tired of the various action-adventure RPG titles we have had recycled over and over can now get excited to see another entering the ring with Alkahest. This would be a new title coming to the PC from Push On that will be taking us into another medieval setting filled with many of the same styles of fantasy creatures and elements we have had many times over already. All with a bit of a realistic touch to help Alkahest try to stand out from all of the others who usually lean more into the fantasy side of it all. Not a terrible way to go, but it is going to have to come down to the gameplay and other elements to help sell all of that. This is just what we have to offer up along with this fun new announcement that we have for this title.

As you can see below, Alkahest will lean into the first-person view of things while giving us the normal melee and ranged combat that we have had before. A fun little twist here, instead of magic, we are getting alchemy to use in the game. Not just things to throw but to do many of the other elements that magic would have normally been tasked with. Thus, keeping Alkahest slightly more grounded as we adapt to the dynamic enemies in the world and complete the various missions at hand. Have a look at what we have for the game in its early stages and see just how it is going to aim to stand out a bit more than the many other medieval action-RPG titles that we have had many times over. It does look like it is taking a good path to lock that in, though.

Alkahest — Announcement

Alkahest is an action-adventure RPG set in a murky medieval world. Where satisfying melee combat with highly interactive environments takes center stage. Explore realistic locations, learn alchemy, and make a name for your family.

When the sun rises over the kingdom of Kadanor, it casts long shadows. Explore a world mired in feodal turmoil, where the balance of power between the three major houses is fragile.

As the youngest son of a petty lord, you’re no hero. And to become someone, you’ll have to prove your worth through sweat and blood. Investigating unusual goblin raids on the county border may be the chance you’ve been waiting for.

Explore castles, forests, villages, and other realistic settings, while meeting its residents and making interesting decisions on your journey.

Build your combo and execute it against enemies. Drop a tree on their head, kick them off a cliff, set them on fire. In Alkahest, fast-paced close combat within a richly interactive environment takes center stage.

Unlike games where stealth is the “right” way to play, we encourage a balanced approach. Players can opt for stealth, scouting the area for an effective strategy, or boldly confront enemies head-on. Enemies adapt dynamically; if overwhelmed, they may flee, regroup, and set up ambushes, keeping gameplay challenging and engaging.

Use all advantages—alchemical potions, daggers, relics, and more! Even a rope can become a deadly weapon in skillful hands.

Instead of magic, Alkahest will feature alchemy, a complex and important game system. Follow a recipe or mix gathered ingredients at your own discretion. Use the substance as a throwable, a weapon oil, plant it into an NPC’s pocket, or even drink it yourself. In each scenario, outcomes can be unpredictable.

Sticky death or heady encouragement—what are you brewing next?

Head down to the comment section to discuss it all and let the world know just what is on your mind for this one. If we get further updates for Alkahest, we will certainly add them all to the site for you. Please keep on checking back for all of that and everything else that could be on the way to us all.
